1.Zack Fair
As it turns out, Zack only looks like a minor background character. In fact, he has a bigger role in Final Fantasy VII than it ever seemed like he might, although some of his importance was grafted on after the fact.
Like his eventual comrade Cloud Strife, who he physically resembles somewhat (except for his brown hair), Zack left his home in a small town to join the Shinra Corporation’s elite SOLDIER force. He succeeded in that immediate goal, becoming a respected member of the unit and helping train future recruits, including Cloud.
The two of them had the misfortune of being part of the unit sent to Nibelheim, however, and both were victims of their commander Sephiroth’s rampage throughout the town. Badly wounded by their encounters with Sephiroth, they were easy prey for the mad Shinra scientist Hojo, who used them as fodder for his genetic experiments until they were able to escape. It was in the process of their ordeal together that Cloud, his mind disordered by Hojo’s manipulations, took on some memories and characteristics borrowed from his comrade.
In his younger days, Zack was a good friend of Aerith Gainsborough, a young flower-seller in the slums of Midgar. In retrospect, perhaps his resemblance to Zack is part of what initially drew her to Cloud.
2.Vincent
The son of Grimoire Valentine, a Shin-Ra scientist, Vincent grew up to become a member of "The Turks"(A shady organization within Shin-Ra known for activities such as espionage, assasination, kidnapping, and various others). After he was assigned to oversee the Jenova Project stationed at Nibelheim, he fell in love with one of the scientists working there, a woman by the name of Lucria Crescent, the assistant to Professor Gast. But Lucrecia rejected Vincent out of guilt born years earlier when Grimoire died while saving her life. Instead a relationship was eventually formed between her and her colegue Hojo. Eventually she became pregnant, and deemed to be used as a test subject for the Jenova Project.
Vincent objected the use of humans on the project, especially Lucrecia and her child. But despite his protests Lucrecia proceeded with the experiments and became ill afterwards. Enraged Vincent confronted Hojo in the underground labratory at Shin-Ra Mansion.
3.Cloud Strife
Cloud was born in Nibelheim and was almost always a loner. He liked Tifa, but she didn’t pay attention to him. Cloud decided that if he joined Soldier, Tifa would notice him. One night Cloud asked Tifa to go meet him at the well and told her about his plan. Tifa made Cloud promise to come back and be her hero if he got famous.
4.Squall Leonhart
Squall Leonhart is a character from the Final Fantasy VIII videogame.
Like most of his fellow heroes in Final Fantasy VIII, Squall is a SeeD, a young mercenary in training at the Balamb Garden school for soldiers. Specifically, he’s a gunblade specialist, wielding a weird hybrid between a revolver and a thick-bladed saber.
The scar on his forehead comes courtesy another gunblade wielder, his fellow student and sometime rival Seifer Almasy. A practice duel between the two got a little out of hand, prefiguring Seifer’s future turn down a strangely dark path.
Once he embarks upon his career as a full-fledged soldier of fortune, Squall finds himself pushed time and again into positions of leadership, both on missions with his squad of fellow soldiers and when he eventually becomes the leader of Balamb Garden’s entire force. He has a little trouble dealing with the role – he doesn’t like being pushed into positions of responsibility, and he’s not very good at relating to other people.
Squall almost defines the stereotype of the brooding hero, to the point that he’s become a punch line for jokes on the subject. He doesn’t quite deserve all the flak he gets, though – he does grow into a competent leader over the course of the game, and eventually manages to express the feelings he develops in the direction of Rinoa Heartilly, first a client and later an especially close ally.
5.Rinoa Heartily
Rinoa Heartilly is a character from the Final Fantasy VIII videogame.
They say that opposites attract, which would explain why Rinoa finds herself drawn towards Squall Leonhart. She’s everything he isn’t – outspoken, outgoing, comfortable expressing her emotions, and otherwise pretty good at relating with other human beings.
The daughter of a general in the Galbadian military, Rinoa leads a double life – she’s also part of the Forest Owls, a small resistance faction seeking to liberate the nation of Timber from Galbadian control. That’s how she winds up in contact with Squall, first through a chance meeting at Balamb Garden, and later when she hires Squall and two of his associates as mercenary reinforcement for her resistance group.
As one might expect, given their clashing personalities, the two don’t get along well to start. With a little help from her friends, though – who organize a deliberate campaign to set them up – Rinoa gradually succeeds in pulling Squall at least some of the way out of his shell.
He’s able to return the favor when Rinoa is caught up in the machinations of the sorceress Ultimecia. It’s Rinoa who nearly becomes the second vessel of the sorceress after her earlier plans have gone awry, although neither she or her comrades are going to give in on that score without a fight.
6.Riku(Kingdom Hearts)
A year older than his rival and a bit more superficially mature, Riku is Sora’s best friend and enemy both in Kingdom Hearts. He was offered the chance to wield the Keyblade for the sake of light, but unfortunately, he took something of a wrong turn along the way.
When the Heartless attacked their home in the Destiny Islands, both Sora and Riku were drawn away to different worlds. Sora found himself in Traverse Town with Donald and Goofy, while Riku followed a door to Hollow Bastion, the world where the Heartless reside (among other things). There, the sorceress Maleficent began to twist his heart towards darkness, playing on his desire to aid his friend Kairi, who was taken by the Heartless as the object of their attack.
Riku believes, at all times, that what he’s doing is for the sake of eventually rescuing Kairi, being held captive alongside the princesses of many other worlds. His motivations remain pure even as he’s embroiled deeper and deeper in the Heartless’ plot, and he’s eventually able to help Sora and his allies from the shadows on a number of occasions.
Riku’s name means “land” or “shore” in Japanese, forming one end of the three-way pun created by the main characters’ names in Kingdom Hearts. “Sora” means “sky,” while the “kai” in “Kairi” can mean “sea.”
7.Sora
The strangest things can happen to an ordinary kid leading an ordinary life on the fairly ordinary Destiny Islands. In Sora’s case, he winds up getting dragged off to dozens of alternate worlds on a spaceship made of candy, trying to figure out what happened to his friends Riku and Kairi, who’ve been spirited away by a host of faceless demons.
That’s a pretty tall order for a youngster to deal with, but Sora’s apparently the resilient type. Armed with his Keyblade and a couple of faithful sidekicks (Donald Duck and Goofy, formerly the right-hand men of the missing Mickey Mouse), he plunges into his series of adventures with no hesitation whatsoever.
In the course of his journey, Sora takes a variety of forms, even giving up his own heart to become a Heartless himself at one point. (That particular transformation has unforeseen consequences later on, creating an alter ego in the form of the Nobody, Roxas.) Despite this, he never loses his essential self, or the inner light that allowed him to become the Keyblade’s wielder in the first place.
The name “Sora” is drawn from the Japanese word for “sky,” in contrast to “Riku,” which means “land” or “shore."
8.Sephiroth
Around 30 or so years before the events of FF7, a child called Sephiroth was born to two Shin-Ra research scientists, Lucrecia and Hojo. Before he was born, twisted experiments injected the fetus of this child with the cells of a horrible alien. This experiment would loan him great strength, creating a child of amazing potential and power.
This child became a SOLDIER, fighting for Shin-Ra, and eventually helped them win a large war against Wutai. In Nibelheim, he learns of his past in the basement of a research mansion. He goes mad with the knowledge, and sets the city on fire and kills nearly everyone in the Nibelheim (Cloud's hometown).
He eventually attempts to summon a Meteor to injure the planet, and plans to absorb the planet's energy as the planet attempts to heal itself. He is, sadly, foiled by Cloud, and mysteriously disappears, probably into the lifestream
NOTE: If you are a big fan of Sephiroth and Want to know more about Him and his past. you might want to play
Dirge of Cerberus The game will give you some informations of people that you never thought
9.Zidane
Zidane Tribal is a character from the Final Fantasy IX videogame.
The happy-go-lucky leader of the Tantalus theater troupe (which doubles as a swashbuckling burglary crew) has a much more unusual origin than he realizes. That’s always in the back of his mind, but he’s mostly concerned with what’s in front of him, whether it’s his latest performance or his latest score.
At the beginning of Final Fantasy IX, the Tantalus team is in the city of Alexandria, putting on a performance of their latest play, “I Want to be Your Canary.” It’s the show (with its attendant shenanigans behind the scenes) that brings Zidane together with the runaway Princess Garnet, who brings an angry Adelbert Steiner with her in tow. Tantalus was hired to kidnap the princess, but if she wanted to take off anyway…well, whatever works.
Zidane keeps up a cheerful front at almost all times, and he loves poking fun at his uptight new ally Steiner. However, he does have some lingering insecurities about where he comes from – he remembers nothing of his very early childhood, and he is inarguably not quite like anyone else in the world he’s come upon as yet.
He’s not so bound up in his identity crisis that he can’t serve as a valuable support to his friends, though. In particular, he’s able to help Princess Garnet and Vivi Orunitia cope with the stress of discovering their own peculiar beginnings.
10.Vaan
Vaan is a character from the Final Fantasy videogame series.
His ultimate dream is to one day become a sky pirate, which as dreams go isn’t a bad one at all. If you want to be a sky pirate, though, first you need an airship to roam the skies in, and right now that’s a little ways out of his price range.
Right now, he’s just another petty thief and would-be swordsman in the city of Rabanastre, making a living by hunting dire rats in the city’s underground areas and occasionally stealing from the occupying Archadian army. His parents died in an outbreak of plague when he was 12 years old, and his only other family, his older brother Reks, was killed two years back when the Archadians successfully invaded and conquered the kingdom of Dalmasca.
Reks died in his brother’s arms, supposedly after his commander, Basch fon Ronsenburg, turned traitor and went over to the Archadian side. Vaan naturally holds a grudge against Basch, hoping one day to be able to avenge his brother’s death and his nation’s betrayal.
Eventually, he bites off a little bit more than he can chew in his campaign of thievery, crossing paths with the real live sky pirates Balthier and Fran. Alongside them, he learns the truth about what happened to his brother, and eventually gets a chance to test his mettle against something far more dangerous than sewer rats.
11.Albel The Wicked
Albel or known as Albel The Wicked. He is the commander of the Black Brigade. One of the Three Military Divisions of the Airyglyph.
His right arm shows an armor. He got the arm due to the day when he was slaying a dragon, and he couldn't withstand his fear
and his father whom saved him, died.and his right arm did not survive, which was burned but the rest is fine.
Sorry for the Information about Albel, I couldn't find any decent info
12.Tifa Lockhart
She is an expert in Zangan-Ryu martial arts and uses her fists and feet as her weapons. Tifa has long, dark brown hair with the ends parted like a dolphin's tail and deep brown eyes, although in some depictions her eyes have been red.
13.Yuna
------------------Informations Will Be Edited Soon----------------- A 17 year old summoner named Yuna who has the power to call forth large creatures called Aeons at will to fight in replace of Yuna. The great summoner Braska (Yuna's father) was killed by an evil force called Sin. However Sin has returned once again and Yuna was the only who could stop it.
(I couldn't get any good info nor have I checked the info but im pretty sure its true. -Trianglehead ;) )
14.Auron
He was a warrior monk of Yevon who became High Summoner Braska's Guardian, together with Jecht. After helping Braska defeat Sin, he promised Jecht to take care of Tidus, his son, and watch over him.
His sword, though called a katana, actually appears to more closely resemble a nodachi or even the fictional Zanbatou. On his right hip, he carries a jug with the word "Nog" written on it (in Spiran script), a term used to describe a number of beverages including rum. The drink is featured in two of his Overdrives: the contents being spat onto his sword prior to executing Banishing Blade, or used to ignite the Tornado attack. The former likely pays homage to Japanese samurai, who would occasionally spit sake on their blades in order to "feed the spirit of the blade."
15.Tidus
Tidus' abilities are built around a classic Final Fantasy job class—in his case a Fighter, a balanced melee class. However, he also features many abilities from the Time Mage class in the form of supportive spells for himself and his group. Tidus is one of three characters able to fight underwater.
16.Dagger[Garnet]
Garnet is the Princess of Alexandria -- one of three major nations located on Gaia's Mist Continent. She is the only heir to the royal throne. A beautiful young woman, Garnet is well spoken and highly educated, but also possessed of a strong will and a stubborn streak. However, due to her sheltered upbringing she is also shy and quite naive. In battle, she can cast white magic and summon eidolons.
Princess Garnet was born in Madain Sari, the "Village of the Summoners" located on Outer Continent. Madain Sari was attacked and destroyed by Garland with the Invincible before Garnet had reached her sixth birthday; the Invincible appeared to her as an "eyeball" in the sky. She and her mother fled from the village by a small boat and traveled to Mist Continent. Her mother did not survive and died at some unknown point before the boat wrecked in Alexandria Harbor where they were found by Doctor Tot. Coincidentally, the little girl looked almost identical to Alexandria's former Princess Garnet, who had died shortly beforehand due to illness. However, the child had a horn. As an alternative to publicly announcing the death of Alexandria's beloved Princess, the King of Alexandria ordered the child's horn be removed and the little girl assumed Princess Garnet's identity. Garnet has repressed her memories of her former life in Madain Sari; the only remaining memories she has of her former life are a recurring nightmare involving her escape from the village's destruction and "Melodies of Life", a song that only she and Eiko know.
17.Vivi Orunitia
Vivi Orunitia first appears at the beginning of the game, and becomes embroiled in Tantalus's plan to kidnap Princess Garnet when he travels to Alexandria to attend a performance of the play I Want to be Your Canary.[5] Being a Black Mage, he appears human however no facial features beyond glowing yellow eyes are visible, and the ability to cast magic. Despite being just nine years old, Vivi is incredibly powerful and mature for his age. He is however, extremely shy, which in addition to his awkward mannerism, add to a false sense of befuddlement which further serves to alienate him from society. With some encouragement from Zidane and Adelbert Steiner (who calls him 'Master Vivi' out of respect for his magical prowess[6]), he joins the group and begins to search for the truth about his origins.
18.Roxas
Roxas is a member of Organization XIII and Sora's Nobody. He was born when Sora took his own heart, and although Sora was soon restored, Roxas continued to endure. Prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts II he was the thirteenth member of Organization XIII, and bore the title Key of Destiny (Happened-upon Key). His name is an anagram of Sora with the letter X added; this is no coincidence, as the names of all Organization members are an anagram of their original names with an X added.
19.Namine
Naminé is the Nobody of Kairi, and wields the power to manipulate the memories of Sora and those close to him. Her first appearance is in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Her name means "sea wave" in Japanese and "name" in Latin.
20.Sho Minamimoto
ho Minamimoto is the youngest Game Master of the Reapers in Shibuya, and the second Game Master Neku battles. More a mathematician than a brawler, it is revealed he excels in all areas of leadership except one -- he will not cooperate with others. Given his obsession with mathematics, he loves to speak in mathematical terms with other people.
21.Warrior of Light
he "Warrior of Light" is one of the main heroes from the original Final Fantasy. The one in Dissidia appears to be the "Knight" class, though IIRC, he'll have some kind of "Class Change" ability allowing him to take other forms...I don't know about the details of the Class Change, though, so don't take my word on it as fact or anything.
22.Luso Clemens
(Charcter information is mostly based on FFTA2: Grimoire of the Rift)
Luso Clemens is a (13 or 12) year-old school kid. On his last day of school he is punished for his misbehaviour and is forced to clean his school library. While cleaning Luso discover an old, old, oooold book. While he discovers that the book is about warriors and so on, he accidentally summons "The Grimoire of the Rift." There he finds himself in an era of monsters, warriors and mages in the world of Ivalice. But as Luso continues on to find his way back home he realizes he makes some friends there including
Penelope and
Vaan. Also the sword on his back is called the "Judge Sword" because in the game The Judge has that very same sword. The Judge is the guy who gives Luso his sword (I think).
Judging by his personality I'd say he kind of Morale-less and maybe even a jerk, but when his curiosity troubles him (he's usually in trouble). No matter, however, he'll help anyone
Final Fantasy XIV
Looks like the PlayStation 3 is getting a double dose of Final Fantasy next year, as Sony reveals a new online Final Fantasy XIV for the PlayStation 3. Yes, XIV.
A complete and utter surprise to the entire audience, Final Fantasy XIV will be coming to the PlayStation 3 exclusively next year, assumedly after Final Fantasy XIII is released. A brief trailer was shown which looked very much like Final Fantasy XI, with the text "A new online epic begins."
PLAYSTATION®3 & Windows®
*Details on required PC specifications to be announced at a later date
Languages:Japanese, English, German, French (simultaneous release)
Genre:MMORPG
Release:2010
MSRP:TBD
Square Enix fans can look forward to enjoying more Final Fantasy classics on the PS3/PSP in the future. The very first Final Fantasy game has been re-released as a PSN downloadable in Japan, and it looks as though many more are to come. This digital download isn't a PSN version of the PSP enhanced Final Fantasy. Rather, it's a downloadable version of the PSone remake. Siliconera notes that the PSone game includes FMV cinemas and an art gallery, but misses features found in the later GBA/PSP versions.
Considering all of the classic Final Fantasy games (minus III) were eventually ported on PSone, chances are good that PSN will play home to a very comprehensive library of Final Fantasy games. Who doesn't want to play Final Fantasy VI again?

Square Enix: Console Set For Extinction!!!
Yoichi Wada says trade must prepare for switch to digital distribution and server-based games
Square Enix chief Yoichi Wada is preparing his firm for the demise of physical media – and potentially the death of home consoles.
In an exclusive interview with MCV that will be published next week, the CEO of the publisher – which now owns Eidos and is famous for its epic disc-based Final Fantasy games – said that a dramatic change will come in the next decade offering more opportunity for market growth, but fundamentally transforming the traditional industry.
“In ten years’ time a lot of what we call ‘console games’ won’t exist,” he said.
Wada warned that “all the distributors and sales firms will suffer a big negative impact” from a new era in which interactive entertainment switches from software run on hardware in the home to server-based offerings, game streaming and digital distribution.
He claimed that format-holders including Sony and Microsoft are already prepared for the shift – and that third-parties must follow suit.

Mindjack - October 2010
MindJack is a third-person action-adventure video game developed by Feelplus, Inc. and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In the campaign story, the game is single-player but "transitions seamlessly" into cooperative gameplay. The game will be released in October 2010 for Europe and North America.
MindJack takes place in A.D. 2031, when the world's governments are in decline and new corrupt organizations are arising. The plot revolves around a rogue team of agents. The player can "hack" into and control enemies, vehicles, or civilians.
