PLOT
Yang Guo is a cheerful energetic boy, but also has a slightly violent temper. He's been raised without a father. And becomes an orphan after his mother's death.At the age of 13, Yang Guo meets the famous Kung fu master, Guo Jing. Although Guo Jing seems to know about Yang Guo's father, he only tells his father was a very strong fighter, and never tells anything more.To become a strong Kung fu fighter like his father, Yang Guo learns All True Religion Kung fu and Old Tomb School Kung fu. While learning Kung fu techniques under Xiao Long Nu-the heiress of Old Tomb School Kung fu-he falls in love with her.Yang Guo's talent for Kung fu and handsome face are inherited from his father. He grows up to be a very valiant man. A mysterious condor bird called "God Bird" teaches him secret Kung fu techniques and Yang Guo becomes a famous top Kung fu master no other fighters can match.He defeats Genghis Khan and sends the Mongolian army away from China.

He is Yang Kang's son. He always wanted to find out more abut his father from Guo Jing. Yang Guo always believed that his dad was a hero only to find out from one of Guo Jing's friends that Yang Kang betrayed Guo Jing. Yang Kang died after he was poisoned by Huang Rong's armor and he was eaten up by the crows.
Yang Guo is an ill-mannered urchin who is very playful at the beginning. He met Xiao Long Nu when he was young when he heard some harp sound from a cave.(Xiao Long Nu's much older than Yang Guo!) A few years later, Yang Guo met Xiao Long Nu again and became her student before they developed feelings towards each other.

Xiao Long Nu lives in a huge underground tomb as the heiress of Old Tomb’s Kung-Fu. She is very beautiful, but never shows her feelings because Old Tomb’s Kung-Fu fighters aren’t allowed to let their feelings show.

Li Mo Chou (Red Sash Lady). Also called Scarlet Immortal in the original novel. Li is a young Taoist nun trained in the martial arts of Ancient Tomb Sect. She is actually the senior disciple sister of Xiao Long Nuu (Dragon Girl)but she was expelled by their master when she eloped with a man she fell in love with. The man married someone else and this perhaps is the reason why Li became a bad character. She wants to share her pain to the whole world by causing blood to shed and lives to be destroyed.

Kakusei (Guo Jing) is the sworn brother of Yang Guo's father. Wanting Yang Guo to become a good person, he brings him to Zhong Nan Mountain (Episode 1) so he could train under the reverred Taoists of Quan Zhen Sect.

She is Gou Jing's wife and Yang Guo's surrogate aunt. As the leader of Beggar Sect Kung Fu, she is one of the only three people who knows the secret technique of Beat the Dog Stick -- the other two being Yang Gou and former leader Hong Qi Gong. For some reason, she holds a grudge against Yang Kang and takes out her anger on his son, but after Yang Gou saves her life more than once, she begins to respect him as a person and a skilled kung fu master.

She is the one of the girl who fell in love with Yuoka but she never told him or anyone that she love him,her face is a little similar with ryuujo's face which make Youka feel less pain about missing Ryuujo. Wanyan Ping is a member of a noble family of Jin Kingdom. The Wanyans of Jin are at war with the Yelu clan and murdered all of them, all except one, Yelu Chu Chi. When the Mongolians invaded Jin, Yelu Chu Chi acted as adviser to the emperor and killed all the Wanyans. Wanyan Ping escaped and now seeks to take revenge for her family's deaths.
