Ikuto's Guardian Character, Yoru, has cat-like features. He wears a pair of paw gloves and boots and dresses in punk fashion style. Yoru has a freedom loving stray cat image and often wanders around wherever he pleases without staying with Ikuto. Yoru loves to tease and annoy Kiseki, who in turn tries to do things only Yoru can do, like climb on buildings and railings. He also seems to be scared of dogs.
When Yoru and Ikuto perform Character Change, Ikuto grows cat ears and a tail. In Character Transformation, they become "Black Lynx". Ikuto wears a spend-like outfit, has cat ears and a tail, and uses a glove with metal claws. His move is "Slash Claw," where he attacks with the claw on his glove. In volume two, Miki seems to like Yoru as well as Kiseki, though, has more compliments showing she has more of a crush on Yoru than Kiseki.

A boy who wants the Embryo to obtain his freedom. During Character Change, he grows cat ears, and can turn his hand into a paw with metal claws. His Character Transformation is known as "Black Lynx". During Character Transformation, he uses gloves with metal claws on the his left and wears a leather two-piece with boots. His Guardian Character is Yoru and has the form of a cat. This could possibly be because Ikuto wants his freedom and cats are free. In chapter 31, Ikuto Character Transformed with an X Egg and became Death Rebel. He uses a sythe to attack. In the anime, he used a claw to attack.
He is actually five years older than Amu and Tadase, as he told Amu that he was going to be a 3rd year senior, who was just starting junior-high.
At first he is called "nekomimi hentai cosplay otoko" ( lit. perverted cat-ears cosplay guy) by Amu. Ikuto has sensitive ears, like Amu. He possesses the "Dumpty Key", which is the other pair of the "Humpty Lock" owned by Amu. For some unknown reason, Tadase had the key and Ikuto stole it from him. He is Utau's elder brother and he refers to Tadase as "Kiddy King." It is revealed in the manga that Utau, Tadase and Ikuto were childhood friends. Tadase called him "Onii-Tan".
He signed a contract with Easter and is looking for the Embryo, an egg that will grant any wish. Its because of that he becomes an enemy to Amu, but privately he helps Amu in the shadows. In the latest chapters, his relationship with Amu has taken a turn for the better. He has even said that he is "interested" in her.
When Ikuto was stuck in her house, Amu asks him if he has someone he loves and he answers, "It's you". She takes it as a joke but when Utau tells her that he was not lying, she realizes that Ikuto was being honest. Once, Ikuto was kissed by Utau, in reaction to that Amu starts freaking out when she hears that Ikuto and Utau are siblings.
Like his father, Ikuto can play the violin.
With Amu holding the Humpty Lock, Ikuto holds the Dumpty Key. When these two are in close contact, they seem to be in a different world, but as long as Amu's heart stays in feeling, the Dumpty Key will fit the lock. Amu halted, as the Key didn't fit with the Lock. Ikuto mentioned "another time" when he gave back the Lock to Amu. But these mysterious items are bizarre throughout the book and anime, since there was little information about them.
