Band Members Pijie - Vocals
Herri - Lead Guitar / Vocals
Hafiez - 2nd Guitar / Vocals
Dinie - Bass / Vocals
Emai - Keys / Synths
Bittersweet began in mid-2004 with 2 members who had the same musical interests. Both played in an Ipoh band before, and got to know each other well during that time. Herri and Zabil occasionally met to hangout and eventually decided to try their hand at writing music together. Both heavily influenced by British music, the two decided to put their heads together and record an EP, just for fun.
After the recording was completed Herri and Zabil distributed the material for feedback, which was mainly positive. When Zabil joined the Malaysian teaching force he had to quit the band, which left Bittersweet with only one of its founding members. Determined not to abandon what they started, Herri set about forming a complete line-up, particularly considering they’d been invited by Pet Projects to perform at Couple’s EP launch. He enlisted Dinie as their bassist first of all, before adding Hafiez (guitarist) to the line-up, Pijie as Bittersweet’s vocalist with Emai ..boards. Bittersweet finished recording their 2nd EP (Night and Morning Tales) on November 2004. They?|ve been invited for shows at PISA Penang on January 2005. The feedback of the 2nd EP and the shows at Penang which were more massive than before. Bittersweet have been invited for plenty of shows after that in KL and Penang.
Starting 2006, Bittersweet been received a rave reviews from the crowd and people mostly in Klang Valley itself. Bittersweet finished recorded their 1st single (A Perfect Match) on June 2006. The singles feedback was heavily impressive and the track A Perfect Match has been played in many radio stations such as Fly fm, Hot fm, Hitz.fm and Mix fm. They also had been invited to play for a show at Baybeats festival 2006. By the end of 2006, Bittersweet has launched their 1st debut album, Perfect Match, on 16th December 2006 during Rock The World 7. Two months later, after the album has released, they started for a tour around the country. The tour began at 10th April which the first place that they gonna rock was KLPAC, Kuala Lumpur. Then, they went to JB(11th March), Malacca(17th March), Penang(8th April), Ipoh(14th April) and the last place was Sarawak on 28th April. The tour was good and successful.
After the Malaysian tour, Bittersweet in planning to broaden their music to the audiences around the South East Asia region. Finally Bittersweet comprises of 5 members that are Pijie(Lead Vocals), Herri(Lead Guitar / Vocals), Hafie (2nd Guitar / Vocals), Dinie(Bass), Emai(Keys / Synth) and a sessionist drummer.
POP SHUVIT
ROCK/HIP HOP/HARDCORE
MALAYSIAhttp://www.myspace.com/popshuvit
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show**
Pop Shuvit began making waves in the local music scene in late 2001. Comprising of Moots (vocals), JD (guitars), AJ (bass), Rudy (drums) and UNO (turntables), the band has had 4 successful releases under their belt and rocked fans throughout Asia notably in Japan, Thailand and Singapore. Known for their adrenaline packed live shows and eclectic blend of hip hop and rock, Pop Shuvit are being touted as Asia’s leading Hip Hop Rock band.
Their debut album ‘Take it & Shuvit’ broke new ground when their first single ‘Skaters’ Anthem’ was released exclusively on the Internet and became one of the most downloaded local songs in Malaysian music history. The hype and street buzz from the track caught the ears of ESPN, who in turn licensed the track for use in their Summer X-Games broadcast that hit millions of households worldwide. As further credit to Pop Shuvit, ESPN played their music videos and tracks off the album throughout the duration of competition.
In 2003, Pop Shuvit released “Take it & Shuvit” in Japan and became the first Malaysian band to hit the music chart in Japan. The overwhelming support from Japanese youth market ensured that all tracks of the album charted the top 20 on the Tower Records sales charts (even beating raprock luminaries like Linkin Park) without any promotion to back the album. The success of their releases in Japan led to Pop Shuvit touring the land of the rising sun in 2005 to support their sophomore release, ‘HERE & NOW’, leading to one of the most successful and talked about headlining tours for any Malaysian rock band. The album was a hard-hitting social commentary of urban culture and spurred hits like “Old Skool Rocka” and “Journey”, with the latter earning the band the 1 Song of the year on the Malaysian English Top Ten for 2005 and “Best Rock Act” at the inaugural Hitz.fm Malaysian English Top Ten Awards 2005.
Always one to go against the grain, the band released a dance remix album and a hip hop EP in 2004 and 2006 respectively. The remix of their track ‘Conversations’ from the “Shuvit Remixes” dance CD was hand picked by uber DJ Nick Warren for inclusion in pioneering UK dance music label Global Underground’s mix CD, Shanghai GU28 that peaked at 19 on the UK TOP 40 Dance Album Charts. The hip hop EP, a 4 track 12 inch vinyl release, featured collaborations with some of hip hop’s most respected emcees from around the globe including US emcees Big Pooh from Little Brother, L.E.G.A.C.Y, Cesar Comache, ZION from ZION I, Def Jam Japan’s DABO and Reggaeton duo Nitro Y Fanta from Puerto Rico.
Not resting on their laurels, Pop Shuvit’s eagerly anticipated third album, aptly titled “Amped & Dangerous” hit stores in Japan on 23 August 2006 with a later release date being planned for the Malaysian market. The 12 song set is a rollercoaster ride of crunching guitars, pounding rhythms and funked out hip hop beats and rhymes."This is essentially a guitar driven album that’s made for the mosh pit. Simply put, it rocks harder!” says skinman Rudy about the new material.Malaysian fans can expect something different as Guitarist/Producer JD hinted, “We had to think strategically this time around and only release tracks that cater for a specific market so the Japanese/Asian and Malaysian editions will be different.” The Japanese edition of the album will be released throughout Asia as an import edition so fans will still be able to obtain both copies. To top off a great 2006, Pop Shuvit walked away with the “Best Live Act” at the Annual Malaysian English Top Ten Aawards 2006.Being independent, the boys understand that there is a need to diversify and take the band to the next level as frontman Moots! Pointed out, “That’s the essence of Pop Shuvit, we always do things differently and love taking risks. We want to turn Pop Shuvit into a brand name and to do this we need to branch out and spread our wings be it in music or other facets of urban culture.”
True to their word, the boys have done just that by setting up Shuvit Management and Studio 21:05 to undertake the responsibilities of band management, marketing, music publishing and music production. Based in Taman Tun, Kuala Lumpur, Studio 21:05 is a fully equipped professional recording studio owned by Pop Shuvit and run by guitarist JD who is a qualified professional audio engineer. The next step for Pop Shuvit will be the world of fashion where Pop Shuvit have already sold out 3 limited edition T-shirt designs under its “Unknown Clothing” merchandising line and are in the midst of taking its clothing line to retails stores throughout Malaysia, a testament that the band is evolving and building itself into a successful business.

Voice of Euphonious’s Biography (V.E)
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show**
With its smooth brand of acapella, progressive and soul R&B, V.E. (Voices of Euphonious) has spearheaded the renaissance of the R&B vocal group, in the process revitalizing the urban music in Malaysia.
In 1996 they entered a national talent contest, “PEPSI Young Challenge The Discovery” and became the 1st Runner-Up. Despite approaches by a few recording companies the boys decided to concentrate on their studies.
In 1998, V.E signed up with an Indie label (N.I.B Production) and contributed in the compilation album tittled “Ilham Volume 1?. After the release of the compilation album, V.E. welcomed another member, Cham. Following the completion of their contract with N.I.B Production, V.E. decided that the time has come for them to choose their own destiny.
Along the years V.E. has been featured in numerous albums for Malaysian giant acts like Too Phat (Plan B Album) and Innuendo (Brandnuendo.)
In September 2002, V.E together with another vocal group released a jointly collaboration album called “Extreme Pleasure” and followed by “Extreme Pleasure Extra” a few months later.
Besides singing, V.E. also contributed their producing and composition skills together with other producers for their own songs in the album. “Ayu”, a favourite number, has reached the top of the charts in all major Radio stations within weeks of the release. A video clip of the song “Ayu” was released following the launch of the album.
At the “Anugerah Industri Muzik 2003?, V.E was nominated as one of the “Most Promising Artist”. On that night, V.E. received standing ovation for “Ayu” and up to this day, “Ayu” still has a soft spot in everybody’s heart.
During the same year VE expanded the group adding the fifth member Damian “Shortysoul”. A versatile mid tenor, Damian has been in the Malaysian music industry for quite a while and a well-known producer, arranger who has contributed to the success of Too Phat’s hit song “Anak Ayam”.
In early 2004, V.E. released it’s own independant single “Party Like This” that danced into the charts being no. 1 for almost half the year and continued being in the charts until the following year in all major radio stations and cruised it’s way to the semi-final in TV3’s “Muzik-muzik” charts.
Noticing their exquisite talents, V.E. clenched a recording deal with EMI Music Malaysia.
By the time the quintet released “FOR YOU” in December of 2004, they were already a known name in the new era of R&B music. Their magnificent vocals provided a welcome of various genre of music and their looks and smooth ways made them instant teen idols. Magazines outdid themselves trying to come up with ways to categorize the five singers, and the results were pretty amusing: Damian was generally portrayed as the hyperactive one; Cham, the funny one and Shah became known as the Bass Man of his generation.
The long awaited debut album features 14 tracks, 11 of which are songs. The rest are intro and interlude. If the song, “Party Like This” (that goes ooh-ooh-ooh), is your favorite, then, rest-assured, the whole album will blow your mind away.
“FOR YOU” instantly became the no. 1 awaited R&B album in early 2005.Produced by the group themselves and music arrangements by Damian “Shortysoul” and famous composer Adnan Abu Hassan has given the album personal touch thus giving listeners purely what VE is all about.
“FOR YOU” also had support from The Founder of Indie Label “POSITIVE TONE” and currently the C.E.O. of 8TV, Mr. Ahmad “The Man” Izham Omar (Piano on Baby) and one of Malaysia’s renown song writer/arranger/composer, Mr. Adnan Abu Hassan (arrangement for Detik Bersama) and one of countries top studio engineer, Illegal (who engineered and mix the entire album and also contributed an arrangement for Feel Good) before being handed over for the final touch by C.L Toh of Masterting One.
The first single from the album, “Message Girl” featuring MC Syze spent more than 5 weeks at No. 1 and followed by the second single, “Pop Ye!Ye!” a 60’s era collaboration with Joe Flizzow of Too Phat and Daly of Ahli Fiqir, instantly followed the success of “Message Girl” where it camped out for 6 weeks. “Pop Ye! Ye!” also maintained it’s standing on the Top 10 Charts for more the 25 weeks in many major radio stations and also booked it’s way to the semi-finals of TV3’s “Muzik-muzik” chart program. Once again, the guys were breaking the charts, charting two songs back-to-back in the No. 1 slot puts V.E. in a very small and selected company of artists who have accomplished the same feat.
In October 2005, “BEST ENGLISH ARTIST” was awarded during ANUGERAH ERA, making V.E. the second artist after to Too Phat to win this category in this prestigious entertainment award in the country.
Early 2006, Pop Ye Ye has been in the finals for RTM’s “Hits 1? (Auditorium RTM) and TV3’s “Juara Lagu” Contest (PWTC). In late February, V.E has been nominated for “Best Duo/Group” for “Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABBPH)” taken place in The Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands.
At the same time, V.E. released their repackaged album for everyone out there as gratitude in returning all the undying support and love for V.E. In this album some creative and thoughtful experimental elements are fused with their trademarked style and sound we all know. V.E. has grown musically over the years and this repackaged album is just a step, too much more.
In March 2006, V.E. has been invited to perform as an opening act for the A.P.M (Anugerah Planet Muzik), jointly by 3 Nusantara countries (Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore). V.E. was nominated in the “Best Popular Group”.
In April 2006, V.E. received a prestige award from A.I.M (Anugerah Industri Muzik) for “Best Group Vocal Performance” and at the same time being nominated in the “Best English Album” categories. During the A.I.M show, V.E. was given the honor to be the opening act for the night.
And the journey continues…

Peterpan
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show**

Superstardom is rarely achieved in the Indonesian music world but this band officially reached that status in 2004 when their second album "Bintang di Surga" (Stars in Heaven) sold more than 2.7 million copies. The six members of PETERPAN shattered more than expectations when they became one of the best-selling bands in the country's history. In that same year the band broke another record when it played six cities in 24 hours. While the numbers matter, it is their music that speaks to a younger generation in need of the sing-along soft rock served up by these twenty-somethings from Bandung, West Java.
Lead singer and heartthrob Ariel has managed to craft some of the most infectious pop songs in recent years, turning the band into a household name in Indonesia after just three albums. The first album, "Taman Langit" (Sky Park), sold 850,000 albums, a feat few rock bands can claim. The third album, a soundtrack, turned an otherwise mediocre movie into a relative success, affirming once again the midas touch of these pop phenomena. Simple hooks and lyrics about love and friendship will grab your ear from the outset but it's Ariel's warm and instantly-familiar voice that will make it almost impossible to get the songs out of your head.

The original eight members are originally from Hello! Project Kids and often are back-up dancers for W (Double You)'s music videos. Prior to the band's formation, some members worked with members of Morning Musume in such side projects as Aa! and ZYX, and in the Mini Moni movie Okashina Daibouken.
They were first announced at a Hello! Project Club Event on January 14, 2004. Hello! Their first album, 1st Cho Berryz, followed the trilogy of debut singles in July 2004.
In February 2007, Berryz Kobo made news headlines after it was announced that the group would be holding a concert at Saitama Super Arena on April 1. Not only did the tickets for the two performances sell out (a total of 20,000 seats) almost two months before the premiere, but this event also marked an historical record in that the band officially became the first to perform in the arena, whose members average age did not exceed 14 years (thereby dethroning Morning Musume, whose average was 16.3).

NEWS began their careers promoting the song NewS Nippon for the Women's Volleyball Championships, following in the footsteps of Arashi and V6. They performed their limited repertoire before matches and toured the country extensively following the championships. They even took a small trip to Taiwan to gain publicity.
Despite the controversial beginning and having CD sales confined to 7/11 convenience stores, NewS Nippon was a wildly successful single and the decision was made to keep the unit. Before their first Christmas concert, Moriuchi left. The circumstances were unclear but it was said that he left to concentrate on his studies.
NEWS did not release another single until May 2004. They came out with Kibou~yell~, which was their official debut and it went straight to number one on the charts, as did the following single Akaku Moyuru Taiyo. NEWS was now an established unit. In mid to late 2004, Kanjani8 - the other group Uchi Hiroki and Nishikido Ryo were members of - had their debut, leading to fan speculation that NEWS might further break down and fears that the boys might burn out. NEWS continued on with all eight members though and showcased their success with the Christmas 'NewSnow' concerts. The members individually found fame as well in drama and TV appearances.

Chatmonchy (????????) was formed April in 2000 as an ambition to develop an all-female Japanese trio with a pop-rock sound with an indie edge. Playing together since high school, they mainly just practised in their school’s music room and dreamt of the day they would perform among their favourite musicians.
It wasn’t until four years later that Chatmonchy won a music competition and began to get recognition. As an indie band they released a mini-album in June of that same year and enjoyed mild success. They also have been compared with Japanese bands, 'Shonen Knife' and 'Judy and Mary'
They are signed to Ki/oon Records who also releases music for bands like Supercar, L’Arc, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. They have since then played a couple of festivals and live gigs as well as releasing their first album in July, 2006. It's widely believed they have a chance to reaching stardom, which is pretty dubious.
Chatmonchy (or simply, 'Monchy' to fans) also have written 'Shangri-La', an ending song for anime series 'Hataraki Man' (????).

Afrirampo (??????, Afuriranpo?) are a band from Osaka, Japan. They are Oni (guitar, vocals) and Pikachu (drums, vocals). Since forming in 2002 they have toured with Sonic Youth and Lightning Bolt, collaborated with Acid Mothers Temple and released several CDs on various labels. In 2005 they performed at All Tomorrow's Parties, the avant-garde music festival curated by Vincent Gallo, and joined performance artist Yoko Ono on stage for her closing piece.
Afrirampo, like fellow Osakans the Boredoms, are fond of free noise, improvisation and nonsensical call and response vocals. Unlike the Boredoms however, they demonstrate an affection for catchy melodies, and during live performances often alternate between manic, distorted pop and extended, abstract, improvised noise pieces composed of looping fret noise, droning feedback, guttural barks and impromptu squealing.
The period 2002-2005 saw Afrirampo’s visibility within the ranks of contemporary noise rock increasing in a manner that Matthew Murphy of Pitchforkmedia.com described as "meteoric".[1] This might be attributed to their powerful stage presence, and hyper-energized live performances which have generated considerable interest within the alternative music press.

Communication with nature is not a new theme for OOIOO. Visually, album art designs and band photos bare hidden repetitions of "o-o-i-o-o" and videos have visually featured woods of the forest above any member of the band. Much of the band's past music has incorporated tribal rhythms and wild sounds, but an even more prominent focus on nature is clearly stated on the new album, TAIGA right from the title, which means "big river" in Japanese and "forest" in Russian.
OOIOO's earliest music was minimal and digital, just as their binary name may suggest. But as the band's lineup evolved over four previous albums, so did its sound. New-wave poppy grooves gave way to chaotic plateaus and psychedelic freakouts on albums like KILA KILA KILA and Gold & Green. OOIOO's current manifestation has derived a rhythm-based soundscape, spacious, spiritual and elevatory, intended as communication with the Earth and motivated by nature.
TAIGA's shows OOIOO displaying a wide array of instrumental sounds and textures. Focused on accentuating the rhythm, the band adds layers as seamlessly as they take them away. Rhythmic patterns ebb and flow naturally like the tide; all the while a fragile melody interweaves them in waves. To a similar effect, Yoshimi and her band-mates' vocals range from tribal and meditative chants to bird calls and free-folk screaming. TAIGA sounds like the deep forest from the bank of a big river, the sounds of animals and trees, life and death. This is a call to nature as only Yoshimi could muster.
The recording features longtime OOIOO guitarist Kayan, whose graceful, long and sinewy frame betrays her forceful and angular playing. She is joined by Aya on bass, who also played on KILA KILA KILA. Both Kayan and Aya also sing the chorus and chant with Yoshimi. TAIGA is the debut on AI on drums. Special guests include Yo2ro Tatekawa on drums, Thiam Misato on percussion and Tonchi on steel pans.
TAIGA was produced by Yoshimi P-we, founder, leader, and songwriter of OOIOO. She began her music career in 1986 playing drums in UFO or Die with Eye and joining him in revolutionary noise-pop experimentalists Boredoms. Formed as a fictitious band for a 1996 magazine article, OOIOO quickly gained attention when they opened for Sonic Youth in 1997. Their live force is powerful and positively energetic. As few bands can do, they step on stage and instantly demand your attention, quickly capture your heart and inevitably make you move.
TAIGA demands your attention with the call to music that is UMA. By ATS they have won your heart with their delicate vocals dancing around pointed guitar. The driving rhythms of UMO and IOA get the toes tapping and the hands dancing. TAIGA is about the now and the future, where stories exude the depth of nature and begin and end, as life does in the natural world, in the taiga.

About Boredoms
The Boredoms were formed in early 1986 in Osaka, Japan, by vocalist Yamatsuka Eye (who later went by Yamantaka Eye, then Yamataka Eye, and sometimes just eYe). Eye had been a member of the noise-rock band the Hanatarash, as had drummer Taketani; the rest of the original lineup featured guitarist Tabata Mara and bassist Hosoi. It quickly disintegrated; first, Taketani was let go in favor of Yoshikawa Toyohito, then Hosoi was replaced by Hira (sometimes Hilah), and finally Mara -- who quit to join Zeni Geva -- was replaced by Yamamoto Seiichi (aka Yama-Motor). Thus constituted, the Boredoms recorded their debut three-song EP, Anal by Anal, in 1986; their first full-length, Osozeran No Stooges Kyo ("The Stooges Craze in Osozeran"), followed in 1988, with both records later collected on Onanie Bomb Meets the Sex Pistols. Yoshimi Yokota (aka Yoshimi P-WE) became the band's new drummer and first female member in 1988; Yoshikawa switched to percussion and quit the following year, replaced first by Hasegawa Chu and then by ATR. Following Eye's work with John Zorn's avant-garde Naked City ensemble, the Boredoms' second album, Soul Discharge, was issued in the U.S. by Shimmy Disc in 1990; though some found them pointlessly abrasive, overall the record's crazed attack made them a hip name to drop in underground circles. The buzz surrounding the Boredoms culminated in major-label deals with Warner Japan and Reprise in the U.S., the first fruits of which were 1993's Pop Tatari, for which Yoshikawa returned as co-lead vocalist and synthesizer player. The follow-up Chocolate Synthesizer was released in the U.S. in 1995 (a year later than Japan), and the band supported it by playing a string of main stage dates on that year's Lollapalooza tour. Lollapalooza marked the peak of the Boredoms' visibility in America, which began to cool down afterwards. Yoshikawa left again, and the band took some time to release a new LP, instead busying themselves with numerous side projects and issuing a series of EPs, dubbed Super Roots, that often appeared only in Japan. Reprise wound up dropping them, at which point the small Birdman label began to pick up some of their releases for domestic distribution. Fortified with a third drummer/percussionist in EDA, 1998 brought the EP Super Go!!!!! and the full-length Super Ae, which heralded the group's increasing psychedelic/Krautrock influence. The same year, the band recorded a split single with 77 -- the "performing" alias of their manager's infant son. 2000 saw the beginning of a series of remix albums titled Rebore; individual volumes featured U.N.K.L.E., Ken Ishii, DJ Krush, and Eye himself. Eye's increasing interest in electronica was reflected on the band's next official full-length album, the trippy Vision Creation Newsun, released in the U.S. on Birdman in 2001. Things were quiet for some time after the release of Vision Creation Newsun and rumors began circulating that the Boredoms had broken up. A smaller version of the group reconvened and played some shows as the Voordoms in 2003, giving further fire to the break up hearsay. In 2005, however, the Boredoms returned with the U.S. release of Seadrum/House of Sun.

BEAT CRUSADERS (ビート・クルセイダース, Bīto Kuruseidāsu?), also known as BECR, are a Japanese rock/punk-pop band. It should also be noted that during all promotional appearances, their faces are masked by drawings resembling themselves as printed by a dot-matrix printer.
Band members include Tōru Hidaka (vocals, guitar), Masahiko Kubota (bass), Tarō Katō (guitar), Maseeta [real name: Hirofumi Yamashita] (drums), and Keitaimo [real name: Keita Tanabe] (keyboard)
BEAT CRUSADERS, commonly abbreviated BECR, was instigated at the end of 1997 by Tōru Hidaka as an experimental U.S. Lo-Fi Indie Pop unit. The rest of the band later joined as a result of continual experimental gigs performed around the Shimokitazawa (Tokyo) area. Their creative use of analogue, synthesizers and the old Casitone, incorporated with influences of such bands as Weezer and The Rentals, and at times the dynamism of Snuffesque rock , had transformed them into a powerfully melodic guitar band. By the end of 1998, BEAT CRUSADERS had already started creating songs that they were a crazy and fun live act not to be missed. The momentum carried on with a single "E.C.D.T." released in June of the following year which entered independent charts of CD retail shops all across Japan. A month later their first mini-album, "HOWLING SYMPHONY OF..." was released; this entered the charts again with various music magazines giving the big thumbs up. Reflecting their chart action and praise from magazines, numerous live offers followed from notable bands in the Japanese alternative/independent scene, from guitar pop and new wave of new wave, to pop punk and ska bands. They continued to be busy, with their second single "FIRESTARTER" released in early 2000 and later the full-length "ALL YOU CAN EAT". They also were involved in four compilations, their own 'cover' EPs including a split entitled "WXY" with fellow Japanese punk band Captain Hedgehog.
In August 2003, three of the four original members of BEAT CRUSADERS left the band, to eventually go on to form a new band "ANITA CHILI PEPPERS". This left behind only Tōru Hidaka who later recruited four new members, which make up the BEAT CRUSADERS today. It is not known why the past members left. However, it doesn't seem like they left on bad terms, considering Hidaka included the masks of his former bandmates and his actions (he was crying) in the PV, "Sensation".
Later on down the road, their song "HIT IN THE USA" was used for the opening of the anime Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, which moved the band out of the indie scene hitting Japanese music. Since then they have released several more albums including a cover album of American and British songs entitled "MUSICRUSADERS." More recently their song "TONIGHT, TONIGHT, TONIGHT" was used as the fourth opening of the anime Bleach. In 2006, the band's music made its first American appearance as the opening theme song, "Hey x 2 Look x 2" (Aka "Hey Hey Look Look") to the Nicktoons animated series, Kappa Mikey. And now the single winterlong for the opening of the anime Juushin Enbu (Hero Tales).
Their latest full length cd "EPopMAKING," was released on May 30, 2007. It contains 19 tracks.
Beat Crusaders are planning on releasing yet another album "Popdod" on June 4, 2008. It is rumored they picked said date due to Hidaka turning 40 on that day.

Maximum the Hormone (マキシマムザホルモン, Makishimamu Za Horumon?) is a four-member Japanese rock band.
1998-2001
Maximum the Hormone was created in 1998 with Daisuke Tsuda and Nawo Kawakita, along with no longer present Sugi and Key. Their first release, A.S.A. Crew was the only full length album released with this lineup. In 2001, the band released an EP, Hō, followed by the departure of Sugi and Key, leaving an opening on guitar and bass guitar.
2001-2002
In late 2001, the band recruited Uehara Futoshi (Ue-chan) to fill the empty bass guitar position, while Ryo Kawakita (Maximum the Ryo), Nawo's brother, took the position of guitar, and also contributing melodic vocals[1].
In 2002, the band released a new more single, "Niku Cup", followed by a full length album, Mimi Kajiru.
2003-2005
After their first full album as a band, the band took a more traditional approach to recording, releasing two singles, followed by an album. Their next album, Kusoban in 2004, was close yet to contrasting heavy music mixed with light pop that has gained them mainstream attention.
After recording another pair of singles, the band released another album, Rokkinpo Goroshi. The release caused a surge in their fanbase, as they began to sell out more shows, playing many rock festivals, and eventually releasing a live DVD, Debu Vs Debu. In addition, "Rolling1000toon" was featured as an ending theme for the anime series Air Master.
2006-2007
2006 saw the band's breakout into popular culture with the song Koi no Megalover, reaching number nine on the Oricon charts during the summer of 2006; their first top-ten hit in Japan. The band had three of their songs featured in anime series; What's up, people?! and Zetsubou Billy, are featured as the opening and ending tracks, respectively, in the late episodes of the Death Note anime series, and Akagi is featured as the ending theme for the Akagi anime series.
After the promotion from two singles, and the songs featured on television, Maximum the Hormone released their next album, Buiikikaesu. The album was a record for the band, debuting at number five on the Oricon charts; their first full album to rank.
2008
Maximum the Hormone made their first overseas appearance in a short tour through the United States and Canada with Dropkick Murphys in March.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation (アジアン・カンフー・ジェネレーション, Ajian Kanfū Jenerēshon?) is a Japanese rock band signed by Ki/oon Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
The band was first formed in 1996 by Kensuke Kita, Takahiro Yamada, and Masafumi Gotō who met in a musical circle of Kanto Gakuin University, with Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. They played in many small venues until they released their first indie EP in 2000, a six-song EP of songs sung in English. In the following year, the band tried to get their first Japanese single, "Kona Yuki" (粉雪, "Kona Yuki"?), onto indie radio shows. The song was eventually picked up by a popular radio DJ and put into heavy rotation due to the demand of listeners. The band released their second indie CD containing songs with Japanese lyrics later in 2001. In 2003, the band would release their first mini-album Hōkai Amplifier (崩壊アンプリファー, Hōkai Amplifier?), which received immense critical acclaim with the sales of the album reaching 35 on the Oricon charts.
In 2003, the band released the singles "Mirai no Kakera" (未来の破片, "Mirai no Kakera"?) and "Kimi to iu Hana" (君という花, "Kimi to iu Hana"?), which would catapult them to fame. Their first full album, Kimi Tsunagi Five M (君繋ファイブエム, Kimi Tsunagi Five M?), sold over 250,000 copies and landed in the number 5 spot on the Oricon charts in its first week. As their fame grew, fans began calling them simply Ajikan (アジカン, Ajikan?) or AKG, shortened versions of their full name.
When 2004 came around, the band won the award for Best New Artist; their video "Kimi to iu Hana" also won the award for Best Music Video. Over the course of the year, the band would release four more singles: "Siren" (サイレン, "Siren"?), "Loop & Loop" (ループ&ループ, "Loop & Loop"?), "Rewrite" (リライト, "Rewrite"?), which is the fourth opening song for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist and "Kimi no Machi Made" (君の街まで, "Kimi no Machi Made"?). Their song "Haruka Kanata" is the second opening of the anime Naruto. The band also released their second album, Sol-fa (ソルファ, Sol-fa?), in 2004. The album would go on to sell more than 600,000 copies and reach number one on the Oricon charts for two weeks straight.
In 2005, they released a DVD that stayed at number one on the Oricon DVD charts for an entire month, and played at sold out venues during their Re:Re: tour. The band also held the Nano-Mugen Festival 2005, where eight different bands played to a sold out crowd. Later that year, the band released another single "Blue Train" (ブルートレイン, "Blue Train"?) (which managed to obtain a #5 spot on the charts), and held a short tour in the winter.
The band released two albums in 2006: Fanclub (ファンクラブ, Fanclub?) and a B-side compilation called Feedback File. Fanclub stayed in the Oricon top five for nearly two months while Feedback File entered the charts at number two. In July, the band held a sequel to their Nano-Mugen Festival known as Nano-Mugen Festival 2 which featured 12 different artists and sold out for all of its performances. The band then went on to release two singles in 2006, "World Apart" and "Aru Machi no Gunjo", which was featured in the anime film Tekkon Kinkreet. World Apart went on to become the band's first number one single.
In February 2008, the band released a single, Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu (転がる岩、君に朝が降る, Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu?), quickly followed by their sixth album, World World World. The album debuted at #1 in the Oricon charts, eventually relapsing into #6 and #9 the weeks after.
Their song After Dark is the 7th opening for the anime Bleach.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation's single and album covers are designed and created by Yusuke Nakamura.
