One afternoon at a party hosted by Dr. Ben Kramer, guests were startled by sudden screams from the surrounding forest. One of the guests, Bob Kelly, grabbed a rifle and rushed with the rest of the guests into the forest, where they found a bear mauling the doctor, who was picking strawberries. A shot scared the animal off, but Ben was unconscious. Joey Abrams, another guest, suggested getting the doctor's medical bag to revive him. Ursula Abrams and Grace Kelly got the bag, and administered a vial of smelling salts. But seconds later Ben Kramer convulsed and died. When the police arrived afterwards, the found a note saying, "Be first to attend BK after attack. Death must look natural. Avoid autopsy." The note was unsigned. At dinner, the guests talked about the attack.
"There's no way any of us could have planned a bear attack. And, none of us were near Ben at the time. So why are the police suspecting us?" said Ursula. The women had cooked the dinner following the recipes Ben had previously laid out.
"I just didn't feel right putting Ben's strawberries in the fruit tart," Grace sighed. "It didn't seem right. Anyways, Bob's terribly allergic."
"Well, someone must have been out there," Joey argued. "Maybe the police will find a handwriting match." But they didn't, nor did they find a motive. Who killed Ben Kramer and how?
