Se7en US Debut News:
Se7en, who was doing activities in America, abruptly returned to Korea, and is now enjoying a sweet vacation.

On the 2nd, the parties concerned with Se7en said, “Se7en returned to Korea about a week ago quietly. Because there was some leisure in his schedule in America, he returned to Korea to briefly meet with his family and YG family.”

According to the informant, Se7en had a meaningful time with YG Entertainment members, including representative Yang Hyun Seok.

Especially, there is a rumor that Se7en affectionately met with his recently revealed girlfriend, Park Han Byul. Se7en is planned to stay for a few more days in Korea, and then go back to America for activities.

Se7en (Korean: 세븐, born Choi Dong-Wook, Hangeul: 최동욱, Hanja: 崔東昱, November 9, 1984) is a South Korean R&B singer. He began training under a management agency YG Entertainment at the age of 15. After 4 years of training in voice and dance, he made his debut in 2003 and became successful throughout Asia.

Se7en has worked exclusively under the YG Entertainment label. Much of his career is composed of constant promotions for his songs through live performances on TV, radio shows, and occasionally, concerts. He also began learning Japanese in preparation for his promotional activities for his Japan debut in 2005.
Why is he named after a number?
Before his debut, his company have thought about the possible stage name (from letters to numbers, including 7) that would be suitable for Choi Dong Wook. While eating a restaurant with YG, they noticed there were 7 pieces of radish kimchi on his plate. So, they confirmed Se7en's name from that.The number 7 is also considered as a lucky number in Korea. Se7en wants to spread luck through his music with everyone. He also believes his fans give him luck.


Se7en has traveled throughout Asia, particularly Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and China. He has also performed a few times in the United States, specifically Los Angeles (Grand Olympic and Hollywood Bowl), New York City (Madison Square Garden), and Washington DC (DAR Constitution Hall).
