Just another generic high school anime? You couldn't be further from the truth.
Okay first of all: DON'T watch the first episode and try to judge it from that alone.
It's nice enough and introduces the art style and a vague foreshadow of the storyline
but this series just picks up so much depth after the first episode that it’s just not comparable.

In so many similar shows before I thought: "Okay. That's pretty cute, but let's be honest, that would NEVER play out like ...

Amazing sparkles, adorable and lovable characters and narration. EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL!
An anime about dancing to a yosakoi is pretty weird, and not very attracting. I thought so too! But wow, the animation, the art, the sincere dialog that both the main characters represented are so amazing! I was really touched by the first episode and everything felt so relate able that it made sense too the main characters expressions, and figure of speech. Again, i can't truly explain the ...

The first episode is fun and intriguing! I rate it EXCELLENT!!
The first episode is fun and intriguing! This is a coming of age anime! The two main characters are at the opposite end of the personality types. One is an extrovert, with an outgoing personality. The other is an introvert, who prefers books, has no self esteem, wants to belong, but is afraid to have friends because no one will like her.

The other three girls that are introduced, are ...

    Flowers Dancing in the Twilight
HaNaYaMaTa is an anime I picked up on a whim. Let's face it, the description on Crunchyroll is not, shall we say, interesting... but what we have here is a high school slice of life anime focused around a group of girls - Naru, Hana, Tami, Yaya, and Machi - who have, for one reason or another, joined a Yosakoi club. For those unaware, Yosakoi is an energetic Japanese costumed dance where troupes ...

The World of Yosakoi! Colorful Dancing Flowers!
"I promise I'll come for you." - Hana "The Fairy"
"So, will you dance with me?" - Hana - The question that started it all.

That's all it needs for a dazzling & stunning story to begin. The beautiful graphics, entertaining soundtrack and developed characters to make the story even more magnificent.

First of all, don't rate this ...

    Exceptional, Beautiful, and Funny;
(Ha)na, (Na)ru, (Ya)ya, (Ma)chi, (Ta)mi; these five beautiful girls are truly the flowers they represent. This show exceeded my initial expectations from the first episode and blew me away with its amazingness; here's the breakdown of why you need to watch this:

The dazzling visuals and colors; right away, the beautiful, vibrant colors and animations will captivate you. Just the first ...

Don't listen to those 4-Star Rated Comments. -.-'
This is a beautifully scripted, and animated show. The plot is AMAZING, and the opening song will get you right from the start. You can see the smooth-movements made by the characters. It first opens up with a girl having social-problems, however, it all starts to change when Hana-chan came into her life, and showed her Yosakoi. I won't spoiler anymore then that. This is definitely an anime to ...

    Adorable and heartwarming
It's such a colorful, adorable anime and relatable. It makes you somewhat relate to the main character and makes you feel sorry, but also feel happy for her. It has a perfect message to it as well! Must watch, even though only the first episode has aired.

Deep underlying meaning & stunning visuals. What more could you want?
Sometimes it is hard to tell from the first episode if an anime has the potential to keep your attention for the entire season, however I knew in the first initial minutes that HaNaYaMaTa was something special and something worth watching.

This anime shows its viewers that everyone has the ability to be unique and everyone has to capability to be talented. You just have to go out there and ...

    Sparkling above standards
HaNaYaMaTa has the makeup of your run-of-the-mill filler anime with incredibly moe middle-school characters, a plot oozing themes of deep friendship, and a major premise involving some obscure element of Japanese culture. It's a formula anime fans become very familiar with very quickly, as it almost seems fated to come across at least one series that fits this description every new season. Make no ...
