Hotelier is based on a Japanese story, but the South Koreans were the first to film it I believe. It's over 12 years old and it shows how much (and in some instances how little) the South Koreans have grown in their drama making. The cast is very good. Like the other reviewer everyone is likable. The story is not well developed. In the middle it just basically stops. I had to fight through a few boring episodes until it picked up again. The only reason I did was because I had an interest in the characters and how their stories might end. The South Korean continuity issues and production problems are ever present including a scene with a boom they tried to conceal with fake leaves. (OMG it was hilariously sad.) With all that said I enjoyed Hotelier as a whole. I enjoyed the characters and the goings on behind the scenes of the hotel. They kept me interested. Would I watch it again? No, not unless it was redone. Well, I have watched it again if you count the Japanese version. *shrug* 3.5 stars
