Hourou Musuko is an amazing series,and I'm also a huge fan of the manga(which I hope continues for years). It's the most sensitive and accurate depiction of the inner thoughts and lives of young trans people and their struggles. More anime

Wow. I never even thought such an anime existed. This is such a lovely series that touches on a sensitive topic without relying on the same old parlour tricks like comedy and camp. Definitely 5 stars!

I watched this whole series and it brought many tears to my eyes. Every feeling that is felt by the main character I have felt in the past. I just had nowhere to go with my feelings so I bottled them up until they bottle could hold no more

Shame it doesn't follow the characters into their adult life... would be nice to see how they live their lives beyond high school.

I do not think the manga series will end anytime soon because it so one of a kind and is moving at such a slow pace. Because it is one of a kind, it will always a submarket that will buy it.

i'm really enjoying watching this anime. one of my best friends is transgendered and so far i feel like this is a very real and honest expression of how it is for young trans people. i'm also glad to see that there's a lot of good feedback!

At first glance I was like no it looks boring but then I watched the first episode and was like what?!! This might just make me see gay people in a different way. It's a good anime.

That description is accurate, but from the manga. It is also accurate for the anime, as it describes what happened prior to the beginning of the anime, most of which was shown in short flashback sequences in the first few episodes.
