i'll be as honest as possible, so it gets across. for one thing, i hate the title. those tv shows and movies that get released in different countries sometime are released with a different title. frankly this title sucks. after you're done watching this whole thing, you probably wish they renamed it to hillbilly girl or something else.

it's that girl singer again, the one from SES, by the name eugene i believe. i think what i like about this show is that this singer/actress took on a role that surprised us. it feels like she wanted to play a character that's the complete opposite of her real self. so if you know this korean star, you might be thinking the same thing.
some of these reviews are really poor. they're not picking it apart enough to make you see the real picture. whether you warm up to the characters or not, the real point is what they have as a whole, with a start and finish leaving nothing out. uh well, there is a plot hole. if that's acceptable because the show works as a ''comedy'', then the show got away with drawing you in. if you've seen a lot of k-dramas already, you know that these dramas approaches everything with simplicity. the ones that don't have a better storyline. for most melodramas, they'll do enough work to make you ''feel'', and that's too easy to do. if you get suck in that easily, then any k-drama would do the trick no matter what it's about.
the show have interesting characters with interesting names, with a storyline that would be mostly remembered for the fish out of water element. there is add on harsh jokes and some of them go no where. also not to mention, korean's theme of adding toilet and poop humor. if you find that entertaining then they've done their job. there's also a lot of name calling, which keeps you watching, but it's annoying. another element the show added was, if i'm at my right state of mind, parodies of other k-dramas... lol if not, then it's more of a mockery to other shows. there isn't much of a screenplay, i mean it is a tv show, so what you see is what you get. the high standards came from some of the writing, but not all of it.
the doctor's wife, who has dementia if i'm not mistaken, like we haven't seen enough of someone getting dementia in most korean dramas! she decides to leave korea and go to a hospital in the USA for better treatment. okay, nothing wrong with the idea, but we don't see the outcome of this character at the end!!! now i know the main cast is the doctor, the bodyguard, and the hillbilly, but this is the doctor's wife, and we see her a lot as well, along with the daughter. talk about a plothole. leaving her story out felt VERY wrong to me, because there isn't that many characters to deal with, so bad decision the show made. if her part was very minor, they didn't have to show her so much, like with all the crying, to seeing her trying to live normally, etc. are we suppose to feel sorry for her? or ignore this side story until we get to the main story? to why the show is call 'i really really like you' i don't know, because through out the show, i don't remember seeing one of the main guys say that. we do see all the 'i love you' in different languages.
for music, i don't remember much, but it wasn't annoying i guess. i think when any music doesn't grab your attention, you can't remember a bit of it.
the ending in conclusion went more like a big joke. you see the actors say crap like the drama is over blah blah blah, but during this, they're still in character, so that's kind of stupid. it just threw me off because it came out of no where. if they were gonna drop their guard as the characters, they should at least just be themselves for the last few minutes. a 3 out of 5 is more right on. adding on the doctor's wife side story with no real result at the end feels like a flaw. ultimately it's about the 3 characters in the beginning, and it ends with the bodyguard and the hillbilly. just that the side story shouldn't overshadow them, which it kinda did.
