Ikkitousen

Too much torture, rape and killing for my taste. Fighting and getting hurt in it's pursuit is fine, but the gratuitous rape and torture were over the top. If you like that kind of thing you will probably enjoy this, but for me, it really detracted a lot from the story.

This anime series well, is not really all that good its sort of bad. Watching all 13 episodes I felt completely lost on where exactly the plot was going and the story doesn't make sense. Sense when the hell do highschool student go at war with each other and rape highschool girls. The soundtrack and the opening theme song to this series was terrible! I found the portrayal of the women in Ikki Tousen(Battle Vixens) was completely offensive, and perverted, they're also treated very inappropriately, being raped repeatedly, by men even women being raped by women! (In other words it completely demeens women.). Also pantie shots, sexual content and the nudity, AND THE WAY THEIR CLOTHS RIP APART IN &$%#ING BATTLE SCENES FOR CHRIST SAKE Is the most annoying part of this series, It gets incredibly old after seeing it happen 5 times. I completely understand animes do this sometimes but there is such a thing called, "taking it TOO FAR." The characters are absolutely plain and very uninspired. The English voice acting is great, so is the animation, really great! But its all wasted in this perverted 13 episode sex fest with a story that will have you completely lost. This just something for otakus to jack off to. I'm sorry for so much of my negativity fans, but Ikki Tousen(Battle Vixens) gets a 2/5 Bad! There are far better animes than this, and apparently this isn't one of them.

So I first saw a review of this on anime-planet.com and after watching it I have to say I was kinda disappointed.

Overall: Overall it could have been better and was certainly left with the possibility of a season 2 sadly which there is none. Now to dive in to the real meat and potatoes of this review.

Storyline: Well the story is about fighters inheriting the spirits of great people in the past. Now that's a totally neat idea except the whole story is just the characters trying not to re-live how their "past selves" lived or died. Additionally this series was simply just too short making nearly every episode fighting+fanservice. Now don't get me wrong, fan service has it's place, and I don't mind a bit of T&A, but every episode distracts even from the little plot there already is.

Music: It was generic, not epic yet not a total let down.

Characters: The characters didn't seem to have any redeeming qualities or were very memorable; each one going along their path with no concept of "Hey I can ignore you!" and instead while trying to avoid their supposed fate they still actively seek it out. Hypocritical no?

Animation: The animation wasn't that bad other than every girl having a big chest and that eye-patch I just wanted to rip off one of the character. Clearly it was geared more for fan service and it didn't disappoint in that area.

I like to see lovery & sexy characters fighting but difficult remember their names since chinese names in Japanese sounds. I want change their names to Japanese names. Ryomo Shimei reminded me of Ayanami Rei. Finally I remembered these names of the record of three kingdoms. Is Sonsaku Hakufu the new leader of Nannyo? I liked Ouin and Ukitsu. Ouin was showing good scenes with nurses. Kaku Bunwa was sexy.

I ran across the manga when I was in Junior High and became somewhat facinated by it mainly because I didn't think a girl could be tht ditzy lolz. After a while I lost interest in it and then my older brother found the anime and showed me the first episode. Plain and simple, I like it for the episodes while most guys I know would like it for the chicks!!

I enjoyed the 1st 13 episodes of this series. It started and ended with a lot of action. I was constantly drawn-in by questions of "who is out to get the main character & why?"

This show has a lot of adult themes which I would not recommend for those under 18 and the faint of heart.

Overall, I found it to be very entertaining.

It was fun to watch and I think you should check it out. The storyline is good maybe a little generous 4.5/5 stars for that section because it kinda gets confusing with the jewels but you catch on quickly and its a overall funny storyline too. Music was kinda...dumb for lack of a better word. I personally did not like the beginning or ending song but i usually skip those anyway. The characters are really enjoyable and you really connect with at least one of them. They each have unique traits and quality that make them special. Art work was very good in this anime very clean and it looked like they knew what they were doing. Overall a fun watch. Especially if you was to see ecchi,action and a sprinkle of romance its a must watch then.

Overall its a great anime, anyone 16+ should watch this anime I say that because there alot of clothes that rip off and other sex related stuff.......... lol
The storyline is great, its based on a book called 'The Romance of The Three Kingdoms' which i read and its good and it follows the book in its own unique way.
The opening song is not bad, but they could of chose a better song and the ending song is good too.
The characters are great, the main character Hakufu is very funny, and clumzy and she is protrayed as Sun Ce i didnt think the character fits in as Sun Ce very well, but I can see a very good leader in her. All the other characters are great too.
The animation is great, its up to date with the current tech of animation and im not just saying that just because of the ripping of cloths and seeing thier boobs. lol
