Jade, Ruby, Coral, Amber - A Gem of a Drama
Not the stereo-typical K-drama angst and melodrama. Lots of good laughs, honest statements and sentiments from the heart, on a variety of topics.

Pay extra attention to the older characters because they are played by seasoned actors, who delivered great performances.

Although it is 50 episodes, the drama does not feel draggy.

    The End - Wha't's up?
Besides a night scene that was shot in broad daylight and an unclear ending, this drama hits home in many ways. It gives a clear portrayal of the reliable man that most women would like to see mysteriously show up in their lives. The overwhelming burden an older sibling can experience when supporting a family while trying to find happiness is well portrayed. Finally, this drama is the candy shop - ...

Best drama ever from beginning to end
Jewel Bibimbap is a really great movie. Entertaining from beginning to end. I couldn't be more satisfied with it. The story line is great and the actors are true to their characters. It shows its views on society and the judgements or stereo types people may feel about different social and economic classes, but what I love is the how it shows the human side of everything, particulary the ...

You have to see this show!
I fell in love with this show and all the characters in it. It brought out every emotion in me. It is not the typical love triangle k drama where the guys treats the girl like feces (well not all of them). Very touching, hits close to home, and by the time you reach the last episode you will feel part of the family! I am very sad it is over now! Anyways, it is a must-see show!

    Fantastic until final episodes
This has been one of my favorite dramas -- love the characters, the acting, the intertwined story lines -- BUT, during the last 10 episodes, much detail is missing from some of those story lines -- the birth of Hannah, any scenes at Gangjii's parents' house, etc. etc., and worst of all, a final episode that attempts to tie everything together by jumping ahead to a future that leaves not only loose ...

    BEST KOREAN DRAMA EVER!!!
i just love this korean drama cuz of the story, and it's a little bit funny. This is my favorite korean drama out of 10 that I have seen, but I don't like how their mom wants allof them to marry a wealthy family.
"what does wealth have to do with love?"
Anyways, this drama should be at the top of the list in the Most Popular category.

  • I agree with "fantastic until final episodes"
    ***SPOILER ALERT***
I don't know about everyone else but I was waiting for Kyle to get together with Ruby; it sure did seem that was the way the writers were pulling us!!! Only to find out she marries the spineless jerk with his awful mother in law?!?!?!? Really?
My fellow reviewer says we don't learn what happens with Goodson and Amber but that isn't quite true. You actually would miss it ...

    Disappointing Ending
This drama would have been five stars but the last episode caused it to get two. It ruined the whole show for me. I was really disappointed at how they concluded Kyle and Ruby's story. It was just a bad ending...

    A warning before you watch!
I started watching bibimbap because me and my friend loved the comedy in it the American monk and how the family were in this Kdrama! We fell inloved with Ruby and Kyle, and also with Amber, Goodsoon! The character grew in us as well as the Grandma and we also like Jade and Jedoug, but our main couple love story were Ruby/Kyle, Amber/goodsoon and Terry/Roma! And they ruin everything with the final ...
