  • Lovely dramas one of the best
I laughed and cried watching this drama. at times i was frustrated with Jang- Geum but also when she cried i cried as well. when she lost i was mad always at the antagonistic families that seemed to want to pull her in. And when she found love i was happy for her. One of the best dramas i have seen

  • Amazing story, amazing actors, very inspiring show for woman!
I had no idea before I finished this drama that Jang Geum was a real person! I found out in the reviews, and looked up all information I could find on her. Although this drama is very loosely based on the real Jang Geum, I still find it very inspiring. For the time period of her life, when woman didn't have a place in government, she accomplished so much. I can't imagine what the real Jang Geum ...

    This is a must watch
This is one of the best dramas ever produced. My younger female cousins tell me how inspired they are by the lead actress. I like how it portrays a strong female lead. This drama is loved by many all around the world. Everyone from the extras to the lead actors were amazing, the setting, costumes t the music was beautiful. This drama is a must watch for any drama lover.

Great drama based on a real person
I love how this drama is based on a real (but vague) story about the only physician lady to ever become the King's personal physician. I heard about Dae Jang Geum/jewel in the Palace when it first came out, since it was so popular at the time. I was happy to finally watch it. Great drama! This is the first historical drama I watch--and the longest. I thought it might go stale halfway through, but ...

    Every Part Is Important!
This is the BEST drama I have watched in my life. The plot is EXTREMELY intricate, people keep appearing in different places, people are connected to people you didnt think they were, things keep changing, lots of plots to frame, kill and destroy, some are thwarted and others are not. The stakes get higher and higher, and when there's trouble and you're sure there's a way out something goes ...

  • Brilliant...but ta few unnecessary Episodes
The ending was a disappointment. Episode 53, Sir Min was dragged away to exile, and she didnt do much but sniffled and sent him on his merry way. After ALL THAT DRAMA of him running to her side every time she needed help? Unbelievable. Was disappointed in Jang Geum. And where did that love story with the King come from? Totally from left field. The first 50 episodes, no prelude to any budding ...

Worth vegging out and watching for hours!
I first saw an episode of this at my favorite local Korean restaurant. I recognized Young Ae Lee from Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. When I asked what the name was they told me the Korean name and told me they didn't know the English name so I had to look up Young Ae Lee to find out. lol

This drama has a lot of twists and turns but I never felt like it was being too drawn out. I feel like if I ...
