Grab Your Balls and Strike a Pose!
In a word, amazing. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a manga that has been circulated since 1987 and is currently in its eighth story arc, being published in Ultra Jump, and remains to be one of the most popular stories in Japan. This spectacular manga has finally gotten the anime adaption it has always deserved (meaning its Araki approved). The first to parts, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, ...

    SONO CHI NO SADAME!!
This is probably one of the best kept secrets that Japan has to offer and I'm happy to see Crunchyroll getting the rights to stream this amazing show. This is probably one of the best and most bizarre shows out there. I really hope that Crunchyroll keeps the names similar to the original authors intentions. Thanks for bringing this stateside and enjoy the ride.

One of the hypest animes I've watched in a long time
I just finished a marathon of the first season in preparation for the upcoming second, and I could not stop watching. The action is incredible and the story and characters are absolutely ridiculous. Everything about this show is crazy and over the top but at the same time it has a compelling and addictive story.

The title says it all really: this is a show that is in equal parts bizarre and ...

A faithful adaptation of a beloved classic
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a curious case, being immensely popular in Japan but only releasing one of its 8 arcs stateside in the entirety of its ongoing 27 year run, and even then only ever having an OVA and a Movie released outside of the manga for the first 25.
The brave souls at David Production attempted to adapt this monster of a series, and their efforts were not wasted. The first 2 ...

  • OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
(Written while waiting for Part 2 of Stardust Crusaders)

It's fabulous, ridiculous, dramatic, and constantly entertaining. Although the Stardust Crusaders arc is getting to be a bit drawn-out, the mix of fighting, shenanagins, and amazing art pulls the show through for me. Also, the Battle Tendency arc is a part of the show that's filled with prime epicsauce moments.

    You'll laugh, you'll ...

    Every Episode is the Same
Art style is nice, characters are ok, but what really makes this a truly mediocre anime is that every. single. episode. is the same. Jojo and friends travel to a new place, get attacked by a stand user, they figure out the stand's weakness, they win. Sometimes it takes two episodes for a stand user fight.

  • Excellent adaption of the manga
    A Masterpiece!

The anime covers the original storyline of the manga, with good animations, good fidelity on the original character draw style for third saga (Stardust Crusaders) and more than decent music and acting.

Absolutely a must for Araki's fan!

A Great Shonen for All Ages
If I had to describe JoJo in a few words it would be vibrant, colourful, over-the-top and cheesy, very cheesy.
JoJo is an action-packed tongue-in-cheek Shonen created with a lot of heart and very intense characters. This anime doesn't waste your time with bad moral lessons, characters incapable of love with a "dark and brooding past" and the pacing of a snail on sedatives.
    It also isn't ...

  • Compelling Gothic Horror Becomes Disappointing Fighting Shonen
This review covers the first three seasons.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a shonen fighting manga/anime that follows a family line in which all the protagonists' first and last names contain "Jo"--hence the title. It has been written since 1986 and has over 100 volumes to date. In fact, the stories covered in the first three seasons of the anime are from manga that came out in Japan between 1986 ...

    Entertaining and enjoyable.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a great manga.. a fabulous anime and a legend that will continue long after we all die. This adaption of Jojo was created with a high level of attention to detail, there is not a single episode that was poor or bad in any way. All of this is pure platinum.. (literally). Therefore i give this anime 10/10, i hope that the action anime genre can recover after this, as other ...
