  • Sweet Dreams and Memories! Forever, Forever!
Jubei-chan is all over the place. The shows jumps from moments of slapstick comedy, serious action, and heartfelt drama at the drop of a hat. If a lesser director had tried to balance all these elements it would have been a complete mess but Akitaro Daichi manages to make it all work. Jubei-chan may not be an all-time classic but it is a very strong title that really surprised me.

  • This anime is all over the place.
I see where they wanted to go with it, but it seems like two people got in a fight about how the anime should go in direction and we got a smashup of both. One side is a feudal fighter who is awesome and the other is about an ordinary girl who does ordinary girl things. Also, the heart eye patch is ridiculous. Like, who thought that would be a good idea? Probably why no one can take this seriously.

Part magical girl, part ninja, all terrible.
I like magical girls and I love ninjas, so one would think that Jubei Chan would be my dream anime. Unfortunately it's anything but. All the characters in the show are completely unlikeable with all the male adult characters(including her father) openly lusting after the main character, Jiyu, despite being 14 and everyone else not having much of a personality at all. And Jiyu? One of the most ...

    childish stories told by children
this old school anime is just a series of cheep boob jokes. the action is well done but 2min of visually stimulating scenes per episode can not make up the 18 min of cheep not funny jokes. The unwilling protagonist is use more like an object then a person. the focus is more on how other think of her based on her looks alone. the male characters treat her like the imagined version of person. They ...

A good classic anime to enjoy
I'm so happy that Crunchyrol decided to stream one of my favorite childhood animes of all time. Jubei chan follow the story Jiyu a 14-year-old junior high school girl attending a new school at the start of The Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch. She has a bright personality and a close relationship with her father. Her voluptuous figure makes her popular with boys at her school. When she dons the ...
