It's an origin myth/fable, NOT a history channel special. The Hanja for Hae MoSu means "Son of Heaven"! As much as I enjoy watching this show, I can't believe how sloppy some of the English sub-titles are. MBC should be ashamed.

how sad is it that I can skip 25 eps and yet still know what's going on. The only difference is that everyone has goatees, Jumong has an army, and his mom & wife are dead. doesn't say much for the story line if that's all that happened

The way in which the show was written may not have sat well with folks; however, the acting involved is stellar. I find that Korean and Japanese period dramas have the best actors and actresses.
