Tricks and trials in the hidden land of youkai.
Written at episode 1, will be updated as more is released.

At first brush this looks like it could have some interesting potential as a subtle romance, and young girl's independence story. It looks to be off to a good start as it set's several plot devices in motion right right away without being too overbearing. While it bears similarities to several anime I have watched in recent years, it ...

classic romance trope--engaging and easy to watch!
if you're like me and had to take a break from Ancient Magus' Bride, this show might be good for you. the animation isn't dynamic in any sense of the word, but the aesthetic is pretty and consistent-- very watchable, like I mentioned! Watching this first episode reminded me of Ancient Magus' Bride in the most superficial sense-- girl with the Sight finds herself engaged to be married an Other ...

Like many others...but that's not bad
I don't really get what's going on with the trend of anime that seems to focus on food but I get the vibe that this is going to be another one...with a possible reverse harem(?). It's good. It makes me hungry. It's a little cheesy. But what's wrong with being cheesy if it's enjoyable? I love cheese.

One of my new favorite animes
i was looking for new anime to watch and this caught my eye. i watched the first episode and i was delightfully surprised by how much i like this anime. it's somewhat similar to spirit pact in both character design and anime and that was one of my favorite animes so i have high hopes for this anime.

Aoi is a refreshing main female
The story follows Aoi as she is swept away from her home and taken to a different realm to marry an Ogre as collateral for a debt her grandfather left behind (yes he even wrote down his own grandchild would be payment if he cannot pay his monetary debt).

Aoi is quite refreshing as a lead female character. She was already able to see and speak to ayakashi when she was suddenly taken to the ...

    Throw your support this way!
I'm a sucker for fantasy world anime, and this one is very promising! The characters are charming and each have interesting back stories that unfold as the story progresses. The setting is captivating and magical, not to mention the animations are beautifully done. It gives off a lot of Kamisama Kiss vibes, which is good! I've been looking for a similar anime and this fits the bill. Even the ...

    The goddamn opening!
Seems like an enjoyable anime for this season and the first three episodes were quiet good. I can´t watch enough of this, beautiful music, animation and character designs. The opening has me dancing and singing everytime! xD Hope the show gets even better! ^^

Looking Forward To See How it Turns out!
There's only three episodes so far, but it's been pretty good.
I like the heroine a lot, she's different and she's actually older than usual heroines in this type of show. So that's refreshing. Specially for an older woman, like myself.......*cough cough*

The plot is pretty good. I like that there's a slight mystery along with the plot. It's hinted at, but it hasn't been made official yet. I ...

    A spirit world romance
Kakuriyo Bed & Breakfast for Spirits is a bit of a welcome surprise. You would assume you would see the daily in and outs of a traditional Inn like Spirited Away or Hanasaku Iroha with the spirits (or Youkai), known as ayakashi in this series, but that is not the case. Instead story centers around Aoi and her struggles to find her own path, to repay the debt left by her grandfather with her as ...

  • Easy feel good anime
Saw this anime in a "What to Watch This Season" video and gave it a chance, needless to say I'm happy I did! Kakuriyo is a lighthearted romance anime with a typical "learn to love" story. The characters all offer a different perspective to their setting and main character Aoi. The focus on food and its ability to bring people together is a really good theme in this series. Being a fan of Food Wars ...
