    A very useful ability
Yes this a romantic comedy but with a interesting premise as the main hero has a strange special ability. He can see flags of fate above peoples heads. Rather they seem to sprout from their heads. Whether that flag be of friendship, love, or success, there is also ominous death flags that foretells some ones demise. But our hero can not only see flags but he knows how to break them too. This is a ...

If Her Flag Breaks - What The Flag?
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oreratara, or 'If Her Flag Breaks', is a very, very strange show. The running theme of the show is that people have little flags that appear atop their head indicating something significant is about to happen in their lives. Whether that be something simple like an upcoming friendship or romance, or more serious like their death... every significant event has a flag. Most people ...

If Her Flag Breaks, Glue it Back Together
What this show is, is your classic harem, romance, comedy, with a twist. The main character can see flags (aka life changing events) above everyone's heads, he can either break them or proceed through them. He's basically a pimp, every girl that he meets is attractive and wants to get in his pants, even the robot wants a piece but, he's always like "naw hoe" and he slaps them, just hard enough to ...

Interesting and fun premise, goes downhill
What made most people, or at least me, start watching this show was the romantic elements, humor, harem, and interesting plot developments with the flags. Now after say episode 8, they strip all of that away and go full dark plot twists and try to make the show some battle anime. NOPE. STOP. From a 8 to a 5. Yep

Amazing beginning! But it contracted Indigo Prophecy Syndrome
The show has a really great beginning, all the characters are well built, and the grim side of things is done well. Right up til around episode 10 when the entire plot catches Indigo Prophecy Syndrome. For those of you who don't know, Indigo Prophecy Syndrome is based on a pretty solid game plot that at the half way point began to introduce characters and arc that weren't coherent with the plot ...

    Good start, bad everything
Starts out as a drama and romantic comedy but slowly turns into this weird matrix kind of story and then some totally uncalled battle scenes and in the end a bunch of weird story things are added again. It started out as fun to watch but the later episodes turned boring and were just a pain to watch. The only reason I kept watching was because I already got so far into the series but I regret ...

    Episode 1 review initial impressions
Main female character meets bloke of suspicious origins on the street corner of course the boy transfers into her class PERFECTLY usual.

But OMG he can see the flags that end or continue relationships (continue part assumed). It's a tad strange though that the male character lives such an unfortunate life.

Flags are interesting premise and should be good for laughs I think it is still too ...

    It was okay I guess...
It's okay to watch it but if you don't it's not something you will miss...Harem type school setting with solitary hero concept.

I liked the sibling love between Souta and Nanami - how he can never see any flag on Nanami's head. I liked the bromance with the gender-confused Megumu and the lolly granny and of course the cyborg Ruri. :)

In general however, story is a bit confusing and weird for ...

    Oh, Where Should I Begin?
Honestly, I was going to give up on this series so many different times. Nonetheless, what kept me intruged was the underlying mystery for the main character. That alone carried me through many eye-rolling moments and scenes that looked like they were for a younger audience. Oh, yes, despite its looks, this show really shouldn't be for younger audience do to a few mature themes. As for an analysis ...

    Could have been better
Not much to add that other's haven't already mentioned. Harem style anime that seemed to start okay, but seemed to go awry mid-way through and never recovered. I would have liked to have seen the more fantasy plot develop rather than the matrix plot that ended up taking place.
There were so many main characters that I felt some of them got lost in the background so the time the show ended I was ...
