  • Typical light novel to anime adaptation.
I liked the deliberately over the top harem but, the ending felt like it was rushed. I would even prefer them to scrap the episodes after the twist is revealed and add a bit more meat to the lesser fleshed out characters. The whole matrix thing was cool and all but it did not have any build up and kinda came out of left field from unless you understood that flags are a term in coding.

    Edit: ...

  • WTF is up with the eccentric characters
This anime is alright I just wanna know why alot of the characters are batsh*t crazy, like what is wrong with the Student Council president and that one that dresses like a baby and acts like a grandma. (It said i need a longer review so i added this line for that reason)

  • A cute mess of a show. Not for everyone.
I'm breaking my own rule and reviewing this after only 2 1/2 episodes.

This show had a fun first episode with good pacing, cute art, and an interesting premise.
But, the pacing thereafter feels forced and so does the humor (with noticeable pauses after jokes.)

i will say the art stays consistent and cute and I assume the story movies in to something interesting.

    But I couldn't ...

  • Something Pretty Rare (Get it? O-Rare-Tara? No? K, Review Time...)
At first, when I started watching this, I thought it was going to be your typical romance-novel-esque, harem anime, and was expecting to watch maybe 2 episodes then leave.
I don't think I've watched an anime (excluding SAO) this fast (I watched all of SAO, including movies/ova's, in 2 days. Every season. Non-stop. I binged this too.)
The plot is not only intriguing in its own way, but unlike ...

  • get ready for a roller coaster
the whole stroy takes place on a boy being able to see flags that signify events or emotions in people's life. everything from love to even important events and death. the futher the story continues, the more the flags become... uinque to say the least, but it keeps it interesting.

    *spoiler*

so the ending is a little crazy, but it makes sense if you really wanted to ...

  • Fun, kinda weird but cool.
At first, I thought it was just another comedy-harem kind of anime, but it get's good towards the end. The whole flags thing is actually not bad.

Enjoyed the show, characters are funny, a couple of them too cliché I guess....

  • A fun and self aware show
If Her Flag Breaks is an enjoyable watch that managed to provide a lot of laughs, though it's not without its flaws. The two major issues with this is the pacing (plot takes an about turn and develops rapidly during the final three episodes, which is a little confusing and slapdash) and all the cliches involved. Tropes are not avoided but rather used with each character performing exactly as ...

  • Worth a binge, you gotta spam it.
    Once I started I couldn't stop.
Its more of a lighthearted anime you don't have to read much into and I think that's what makes it a fun watch.
I also couldn't help but love the characters, their personalities are one of the stronger points of this anime.

  • If you could guide the future...
If Her Flag Breaks is your standard harem comedy-drama, with super-natural themes, light ecchi moments and some (mostly-light) action-related injuries and/or violence. The plot centers on a teenage boy ("Souta") who can see 'flags' over people's head that predict their futures; he can also change those futures by cutting existing flags or creating new flags. This creates the drama, in that ...

  • Utterly and Unabashidly Fanterribad with a creative premise
Starts out interesting, middles slightly above average and ends on such a bizarre note that it's almost hard to be mad.

If you like peculiar anime with a pretty decent MC, girls and bats**t crazy endings then this is the one for you!

A solid 3.9 out of 5, not the best but nowhere near the worst
