And at the end, I totally cried like a baby. T-T
Kids on the Slope is one of the best anime in a long time. And there are three specific reasons why(completely based on my opinion):
    1. It is beautifully crafted, both visually and aurally (I mean, com'on people, it's JAZZ. Jazz is the best).
    2. Yeah, okay there are some love triangles. Sometimes, love triangles can really suck the life out of an anime. They go on and on and no one ...

My favorite anime of this year so far.
Wow can I just say that this series took me by surprise. I was hooked on the first episode. The characters portrayed an honest love-triangle and acted like actual high school students. The music in this series is really beautiful and I loved that they played jazz. The art style is unique and the colors that they used changed along with the context of the plot. This added to the overall tone and ...

Kids on a Slope - Review
    My Feelings:
This anime is a fresh and realistic view of a group of teenagers struggling with their identities and their feelings for each other. I am particularly pleased about how realistic the emotions are, and how complicated they are in their development. You clearly see how one character slowly falls in love with another, and the end result of that journey.

    Not without it’s conflicts, ...

    Hope this becomes a Classic.
It's been a while since I watched a slice-of-life genre that was worth watching all the way through. This show is about timeless friendship between a small group jazz enthusiasts.

The authors/writers got everything right. Characters, setting, plot are all very well executed. And the animation isn't half bad. But this is the best bromance I've seen that couldn't easily be turned into vaguely ...

Great retrospect, beautiful bromance/friendship, and jazz!
I was motivated to watch this after I saw a tumblr post with a Sakamichi no Apollon gif. It was Kaoru writing music notes onto staff paper. Being the band geek I am, I found the anime quickly and started watching. It's a story between three main characters and focuses on romance, friendship, jazz, and life. These teenagers aren't perfect and all have their little issues with their life, whether ...

  • OHH. THESE FEELS, MAN.
This was a very nostalgic anime... And the fact that he had jazz involved in it, made me happy. Within 12 episodes, I feel like I've known the characters for 200 episodes. Seeing them grown up has made me happy, too. I cried towards the end, out of happiness of course, when Karou jammed with Sentaro again, 8 years later. Their lives had meaning, after meeting each other. Along with meeting Ri'ko. ...

  • An introduction to Jazz
Sakamichi no Apollon | 坂道のアポロン made me like Jazz. That is how powerful the content, under the direction of Watanabe Shinichiro and music composed by Kanno Yoko, is to me. For a show, any show, let alone anime, to do that, is something to be noted.

Much like Jazz, Sakamichi has its own style, set in 1968, a turbulent year for the world and Japan. Anime fans will find that like the music, the ...

    Absolutely worth the time.
A perfect mix of emotion, excitement, and timeless romance all combine to make this series a must watch for any slice of life enthusiast. Not a slice of life kind of guy or gal? Don't worry, you wont feel disappointed having invested the time to watch the entire show in an afternoon off.

Beginning with the typical dejected protagonist down on his luck and stuck in a bad family situation, our ...

A timeless story of growing up, making friends and falling in love
A timeless story of growing up, making friends and falling in love. Why is this series so popular? Because we can all relate to it. As you watch, you relive all your past insecurities in youth such as not feeling pretty enough, strong enough, smart enough, popular enough.

There are things in life that are beyond what we can physically see. Friendship and love are two of these special ...
