An odd sense of Deja Vu
Honestly I felt like I had watched this before somehow. It was the weirdest thing, turns out I have back around 2003/2004. While I can say the atmosphere in this seems a bit brighter I figure it is mostly because of the advances in artwork in the 14 years between development cycles. Speaking of, the artwork in this show is fantastic focusing on vast landscapes that are incredibly detailed. For ...

    Beautifully Done Without Question
If you're looking for something more upbeat, this really isn't the anime for you. That said, I think this anime is going to be the one I'm most excited about each week. It was one of the few that I was most curious about to start with and the one that immediately had me interested in seeing where the story goes without any reservations after one episode.

Much better than you would think at a glance
When I read the premise, I scoffed a little. But I've been watching anime for decades, and I've learned that you should give almost everything a chance, because some of the best anime sounds silly at first.
This series took me in quickly. It is very well written in most respects. The story follows a traveler, and shines a light on a lot of the facets of human nature through the various stops ...

This is a WONDER-FULLL anime!!! It is a BEAUTY-FULL anime!!!
I did not realize that I had forgotten how wonderfully touching such stories could be. This is wonderful, I am going to watch the original again. The absolute favourite among anime.
There are very few works that try to appeal to your emotions, through your intelligence. I understand it is a super-niche market, especially with the stigma anime possesses, still when such a piece comes along it ...

So easy and calming to watch this enjoyable show
Note: I never saw the original show.

I'm not normally interested in slice'of'life shows like this, but Kino has me sold. She's a joy to simply listen to and watch as she travels the world that is so vastly differently from our own.

From a talking motorcycle to entire countries that can travel; Kino meets interesting people that result in equally as interesting plots each episode.

Very unique, eclectic and refreshing new anime! Well done
Kudos to the makers and animators of this fine production. This is a unique anime that seems to be story (plot driven). The OVA is breathtakingly stunning, and only one episode in I can proudly say I look forward to watching more to see how this anime unfolds. So far it is about a youngish girl Kino and her motorrad (Hermes, yes he talks), I am not sure if the dialogue is in Kino's mind, who ...

what if star trek but bike?
this show is great, it mostly revolves around the main character and her/his/their? sentient bike, as they observe different and interesting towns.

iv'e only watched two episodes thus far but its clear the creators put some thought into it and we'll get so see some fantastic moral quandaries get solved with horrific violence, as is tradition.

Enjoyed as much or more than the original
If you've watched the original version of this anime you will probably enjoy this remake as well. This version feels a lot more "beautiful" than the older version.

I'm not sure how to describe exactly how it makes me feel when I watch it but maybe I'd say that it feels like it opens your eyes to real problems? Each country has it's own traditions and it's important to try to accept and ...

Makes you want to travel more!
Kino's Journey is a collection of societal parables, told through the eyes of a wanderer who visits countries and observes them. Kino, the main character, takes a somewhat prime directive stance toward the civilizations, although she is sometimes coaxed to interfere out of compassion.

The show is a collection of parables, and as such, the societies it portrays are exaggerated portraits of a ...

    Kino an adventure returns!
Kino began life as alight novel back in 2000 and had a big enough following to earn itself a small anime spot created by Studio AGCT.

Today we see a return for this adventures young *spoiler protection* who has taken to traveling the road and staying in various locals for 3 days, as 3 days is enough time for Kino to understand the lay of the land, its people, and its history. Though we do see a ...
