    An amazing focus on family
This somewhat-confusing story is driven primarily by its [wonderful] characters and the family bonds that they share. I know that sounds boring but there's tons of zany, off the wall stuff happening on the side.

Story: So far, what we have is a beautiful story about a bunch of derelict children trying to reunite their family. I won't say anything else because I think it would be better to ...

Anime in Wonderland but not quite!
The first three episodes (0,1,2) offer action, romance, a complex possibly recursive plot, and a sprawling wonderland almost anyone can enjoy: "Mirrior Kyoto". There are spirits, familiars, artifacts, gods and mortals, and it all blends together seamlessly in their sense of place in the universe. This show asks a lot from its viewers, but the spaces and characters it covers more than makes up for ...

    First impresions and OVA review.
I am the only one here who is skeptical. Fine. I'll be the first to admit that the show did indeed get better. And indeed I liked the atmosphere, themes and even characters presented, except Yase, but the biggest problem I came across with this show at least so far is the fact they try and make everything feel really easy go lucky, but the show likes to project itself as a serious series as ...

    Absolutely Worth Watching!
Honestly, seeing the OVA, I was terrible confused.

The animation, soundtrack, and directing were all quite superb - but the plot was everywhere and nothing was explained. The pace was fast and furious and fun, and the art very entrancing, but I was seeking more.

And that's where the anime delivers.

The anime gives you all the background that that the OVA doesn't.
    It delves into ...

Great anime! people who are confused needs to pay more attention!
I'm not quite sure where people are getting confused. If you didn't understand anything watch it again.

You have a rabbit which fell in love with a human, that rabbit takes the form of a female deity. As time passed by, they either made children or took in children. Two being demons and one being just like his father, a monk. Since there was tons of complaints about their kids making a mess, ...

    Surreal Brilliance (So Far)
Calling this show a visual success is like calling bread moderately popular. Every third scene could be paused and turned into a magnificent work of art. If you miss the insane artistic brilliance of such masterpieces as Tekkonkinkreet and the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, look no further, for, like an insistent Admiral Perry, your Black Ship has at last rolled in.

The first episode (by which I ...

    Undoubtubly Fabulous
I had no expectations when I started this series, but found myself falling in love with it the second Toko (the bunny) gained a human form. The characters are brilliant and the art is absolutely amazing. It has that older feeling drawing, mid 2000's maybe, but the backgrounds are so spectacular, it's hard to believe that it works so well. The plot may seem a bit weird and out there, I've heard ...

Did not expect this to be so...good
When I heard they added this, I looked at the description and thought, "hmm might be good," and put it on queue. I was actually deciding on waiting till the whole series came out before I watch it since I already had a ton of other simulcasts on the line. I just figured maybe this anime would be worth saving for later since I didn't really expect much from watching it now. Man, was that an error ...

  • so glad it's on crunchyroll!
i've watched the earlier OVAs of Kyousougiga, and I just love how it makes absolutely no sense! don't watch this expecting a normal storyline, but it's got great characters, bright colours and something fun to watch in your spare time!
