A critically acclaimed, thought-provoking tale about the consequences of life and love.
Lee Jun-su (Lee Dong-wook) is dead. The question is: Was it suicide? The story takes the viewers back six months to start at the "beginning" of this story, when Jun-su meets Yun Hye-jin (Oh Yeon-su) in the snow-covered countryside of Japan. His dark secrets suddenly seem almost inconsequential in this foreign, purely white land, and he and Hye-jin slowly fall for one another. Hye-jin is traveling by herself, taking time apart from her successful husband Ha Dong-won (Jeong Bo-seok). Part of the reason is that he's cheating on her with a beautiful young woman Hong Da-ae (Park Shi-yeon), but just as big a reason is that her life is nothing worth living for. Da-ae, on the other hand, rather likes her life since she has no money problems with Dong Won around, but things change when she meets the elusive Jun-su and falls for him hard.
As the viewers follow a detective struggling to piece together the life of Lee Jun-su, they will find themselves captivated by not only the melancholy storytelling, but also by the haunting music and beautiful cinematography.

-급변하는 사회 속에서, 현대인들은 그 변화의 물결을 이겨내지 못해 허우적대고 있다. 금기시되던 것들은 이제 당연하다는 듯 떳떳해지고, 가치관의 혼란을 고스란히 감내해야 하는 사람들은 점점 자신만의 새장 속에 그들 스스로를 가두어 버리기도 한다.
여기 현재를 살아가는 한 위기의 중년 부부와, 삶의 중심축을 잃어버린 채 흔들리는 젊은 청춘들이 있다.

오랜만에 만나는 정통 미스터리 멜로 드라마
서울 한복판의 고급 아파트. 평화롭다 못해 고요하기까지 한 이곳에서 한 젊은 남자의 의문의 자살이 발생한다.
퇴역형사 박병식은 그 젊은 남자가 자신이 오랫동안 쫓으며 주시해왔던 이준수임을 알고 이 사건의 실마리를 풀기 위해 나선다.
드라마는 박병식의 시선을 따라 6개월 전으로 거슬러 올라가며 본격적인 이야기를 시작한다.
이준수는 과연 자살한 것일까? 그의 연인인 홍다애.
그리고 중년의 여인 윤혜진과는 어떤 관계가 있을까?
과거와 현재를 자유자재로 넘나들며 전개되는 소토리라인을 따라가다 보면 어느새 놀랍도록 치밀하게 짜여진 플롯에 감탄하게 되는 것이다.
