If you have interest in such a genre as a reverse harem, then this is the story for you.
I like the first episode, however, I agree with bennyoo that it appears to be a set up for a reverse harem, with "pretty boys" all around her as an agent for the Imperial Library Information Assets Management Bureau. She forgoes her arranged marriage that may have caused her younger brother to seek out a cursed book that ultimately nearly kills him. The plot of the first episode was good, the ...

Boring start to a reverse harem
This anime tries to be too many thing right off the bat. It gives off the vibe of being a soap opera, a black and white drama from the early 1900s, a reverse harem, and some other things.

I like a strong female presence in anime but this is going to be another one where the female is useless and is just going to be carried through the series by half a dozen men - that's the vibe I ...

    Not amazing, but above average.
Four Stars since I consider three to be middle of the road average and four to be good. I don't think it's a particularly good anime, but it's not average either. So more of a 3.5 if we're being honest.

This anime has an aged aesthetic to it. It takes the first flashback in the first episode for the brain to click that you're not watching a flashback after the opening plays. I enjoy the detail ...

    Another game adaptation
Cursed tomes, books carrying the strong emotions of those who wrote them. Attempted suicides of a few young boys, caused by the books.
This story is centered around the sister of one of those young boys, and an agency tasked with finding the books.

The drawing and animation are ok, but nothing spectacular. As a style choice, they've also used primarily sepia tones. Whether that's a plus or ...

Based on the first episode, it’s not bad! Give it a try
It’s actually not that bad! In the beginning it’s a bit boring but it gets more interesting through the episode.
. The bunch of guys shown in the intro kinda made the anime look like a typical anime where the female lead gets help from a dozen hot guys but plot ...

  • Slow-paced Romance Mystery
It's a slow-paced and kinda boring romance mystery, except there's not much romance or mystery. I watched the entire series but after episode 6, I was pretty much force-feeding myself each episode because it's SOOOO BORING. I really watched it to try and keep my mind off the fact that it was going to be nearly a whole week before I got to see another episode of Karuriyo - Bed and Breakfast for ...

  • Self Immolation Really Should be a Mood Killer
I'm really feeling the supernatural romance/historical mystery crossover here. There are a whole bunch of elements that really shouldn't work together, but the story is so masterfully crafted that it feels like the pyromancer totally belongs in the same space as a weird goldfish salesman and a senators son going through some serious political drama (no jokes, actually a thing). All of the ...

  • Unique twist in a different time
If you like unique twist on animes about books and how sometimes out of tragedy can come something positive. Not to mention it also has six guys after one girl, but she is a strong minded girl. Not your typical reverse harem. Its more about a strong girl overcoming a tragedy, and learning out her love for books.

  • As of episode 9.... I love this anime!!
    *written as of ep. 9*

So far I'm really enjoying this series. First of all, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the animation! It runs smoothly and everything looks gorgeous! The plot at first seemed a bit too much like a dating anime, but the story eventually had me completely immersed in the characters and atmosphere leaving me wanting more after each episode. Throw in a few twists as you get deeper into the ...

Interesting as of the end of the 2nd episode
Who cares if it's reverse harem? So what if it's based off an otome game?
The animation is pretty and the plot is interesting so far. Plus, it's an anime about books, of which we need more. The main character, Kuze, has some potential to grow into someone strong and interesting. She's modest and quiet, but brave enough to leave her family home in search of very dangerous items. And there's no ...
