    Amazing! Must Watch!
Great plot, and romances. good animation, and art work. No annoying characters besides the second president of the library who only shows up in one or two short scenes. A must watch! Now to put some filler and useless information into this review because I have nothing else to write! I started benging this when the timer for release hit zero! Th-That's all folks!!! I cant seem to find out how to ...

I enjoyed this from beginning to end!
The premise may seem a tad unbelievable, but once you get beyond the idea of an army of librarians, the story, dialogue, and voice acting will draw you in and keep you watching. There's enough here for almost every taste: combat, action, slice of life, romance, comedy, strong male AND female protagonists, and an easily identifiable (and equally detestable) antagonist.

    Sorry. No fan service. ...

    A diamond in the rough
Let me just start by saying I didn't expect much from this anime. There are so many anime out there, you just kind of judge them, because so many of them are so typical.

This anime isn't like that. It has the perfect balance of comedy, action, and romance. The female protagonist is strong, and one that I could just relate to, especially as a girl planning on joining the military.

    But ...

This is a Timeless Hidden Gem
Using Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451; Production I.G. has made an artful depiction of why freedom of information is so vitally important to each and every one of us.

The plot, writing, comedy and drama all work. But the final episode seems to be the beginning of the next season, rather than the completion of the series. If it was an OVA, it would be able to stand alone.

    If I counted ...

Great,Funny, show with an interesting premise
I am eating these episodes like popcorn.

    The protagonist is fricken hilarious.

The premise, that there are armed forces fighting over censorship of books, with both sides legal and fighting in urban areas, is novel. I dont think I have seen anything like it before.

The episodes move very quickly. Im halfway through the series and have new simulcasts to watch. Guaranteed I finish this one ...

  • Accessible for younger audience
The series' slightly ridiculous scenario and lack of darker themes is usually counted as shortcomings, but its light-hearted tone and overly dramatic characters are actually perfect for introducing serious concepts such as freedom of expression to a younger audience. The absence of gore and long philosophical monologues makes this series ideal to watch in a family setting (though the romance bits ...

  • Solid, quality, show
I'm not going 5 stars with "Library Wars", even though most reviews do go that route. Why? Lack of impact. In battles that expend 593,621 rounds, no notable good guys get hit with anything more than a flesh wound until the late episodes. No body goes off the deep end with shell shock. Good guys just prevail. No emotional impact in knowing how it's going to turn out. I find the premise of ...

  • Very, totally Sugoi!
I enjoyed this anime very much. Especially the part where the guy looked at the girl longingly for a brief moment. Or that other time when the girl yelled at the guy because he's being dense. But the best part of this anime is when i didn't see any of it at all because IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN MY REGION. All in all 11/10. 8/5. Totally Sugoi.

  • dystopian alternate future for book lovers
If you find Fahrenheit 451 and Equalibrium compelling then you'll love Library War.

The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the story isn't finished and there's still volumes upon volumes of manga to turn into anime. However the 12 episodes that are on CR make a complete story arc so it's worth watching.

Library War has a good blend of action, characters, romance, and a ...

  • The best anime since Cowboy bebop
Usually my reviews are a catalog of what I didn’t like in a series but, I don’t think I can love this anime more. First of all there’s none of the bad anime cliches I’ve grown to loathe over the years in it. Sure Iku Kasahara does her fair share of yelling about what’s right and just in this world, but most of the time that’s shut down by the other characters who remind her (and us the viewer) ...
