Akikan!

Proudly saying that he had never had a girlfriend in the whole sixteen years of his life, the juice-loving Kakeru had no idea that purchasing a can of melon soda on an ordinary day would change his life forever. Upon taking a sip of his juice, Kakeru found himself kising a pretty young lady who seemed to have replace the can. The girl, who was later named Melon, is an "Akikan" of the steel kind. All akikans have pecial ability that is inclined to the kind of juice thy possess and in the case of Melon, she can produce magic-packed melons and hurls it much like cannon balls where Kakeru i her common victim. Now, Kakeru has to put up living with an "inorganic" girl for an indefinite period of time.

But the story isn't as simple a this. You see, there are plenty more akikans roaming around in this series but they're grouped either as steel cans or aluminum cans.

Akikan!( Empty can) is a very unique and amusing series created by Riku Ranjo and illustrated by Hiro Suzuhira. It has sixth volume in a light novel while the anime has schedule to have 13 episodes.

This was just a hilarious series. They were very creative too, to think a certain juice can changes into a girl when sipped. Makes for some interesting situations for the owners of these cans. The only problem I really had was the jokes were starting to get a little stale towards the end. Even the girls' attacks were somewhat funny. The melon juice using melons and throwing them, grape juice one throwing sour grapes, and the "sports" juice one had a sword that came out of her arm. She would also use it for cooking.
