Axis Powers Hetalia

Axis Powers Hetalia is a savior to those who dread the boring History Class. I know it pulled me through once I became highly addicted to each represented country; so whenever my teacher said "Germany was helping Italy." All I ever thought about was the character helping the other. It becomes increasingly amusing. And because of Hetalia I managed to get a 4 in my AP. Imagining the countries in live action was just too helpful for me.

This five minute episode series is very comedic (intentionally) and each character is given his or her (mainly his) random quirks or stereotypes. But it's not necessarily bad stereotypes. It's just there to make light of the series - and I promise you, you wouldn't even notice the stereotypes - well, maybe for some. But it's not meant to criticize any country at all.

The plot is mainly focusing on the WWII time line but it also has random time skips or flashbacks to the Colonial Period and up to the plain present. :)

I highly recommend this to people who are bored - or girls who need help with history XP

I love Hetalia, it is a funny, educational, feel good anime- and because of the short episodes can be very addicting! This is a series I will want to re-watch, and the characters and very lovable, I would recommend this to anyone. : )

So, over a year ago, my friend Leah told me to watch Hetalia. I curtly said no, because I used to be a stupid Narutotard *shiver* But when I got over that phase, I decided to watch it. It was confusing at first but YOU HAVE TO HOLD ON. It get's so much better. I became a Hetaku so quick, you wont believe it. I used to be so stupid when it came to history, but now it's so simple. I can draw in class and if my teacher asks, I can explain thoroughly. I've bought so much stuff, you would be surprised. Enough ranting, just watch this show. Unless you get offended easily and have a hate for thick eyebrows.


If you watch this just know, I love England/Arthur <3 XD

Go watch it. My favorite Character is probably America, cause he is like a total goof-ball... haha, that loves Hamburgers dude! And he comes up with funny lines.

Hetalia isn't my favorite, to start it's mostly dudes, which I found awkward. But I loved Italy he is just weak! I love the comedy to it. My friend Ash is always telling me about this anime, so I stopped watching it because it got old and I knew what was going to happen, she told me I couldn't watch other animes until I finished axis powers =.= thats why I'm not fond of it. The whole yaoi thing is weird to though I don't mind yaoi..(I cant stand yuri) but it's weird that the countries are all one male and they're in love. Like Germany likes Italy... It sounds weird to a non anime fan. My friend recomended this to all of her friends even her band teacher, I would recomend this to a fan of comedy or a yaoi addict (STOP THE YAOI) I gave it a 5 out of 5 for its comedy and shortness overall good anime

First warning--if you are easily offended by nation-based stereotypes, go watch something else.

Second warning--you may just find this the silliest show out there!

Humor aside, Hetalia does manage to (quickly) serve a heap of history in a very fast-paced mini web-series-like show. You'll quickly be able to identify characters (nations) by their (stereotype) personalities and quirky habits. I think this is one of those few shows better watched in the English language for native speakers--the voice acting makes up about 50% of the humor.

There is no deep plot line or epic stories--that's where the fandom comes in. : ) But if you want a somewhat intellectually funny series to watch, check out Hetalia!

I absolutely lurved this anime ! It's funny and you just get to adore the characters so much ! I would dare you all not to laugh if it weren't this funny ! ;D The music is also catchy so watch it now!

Hetalia is the best anime series in my opinion. not only is it gust busting, but it also hjas some emotinal parts. (the american revolution) hetlia has helped me over and over in my social studies class, and has also made it more enjoyable. I am a personal fan of brittan (arthur), russia (ivan) and germany (ludwig). and wil crack up at 90% of what they do. of course my fav line is
"howthe holy fureh did he get into my bed"

its funny besides thats it 5 minutes its a must watch it tells a story of WW1 - WW2 it touching and funny i only watches episodes 1-62 and
it was worth it makes your day each character has their own song america , Germany japan and others and mostly my favorite Italy XD
it was awesome the music animation everything and the manga is worth buying for 50 or 60 bucks really i mean it if its this funny like im writing you might like it hope you enjoy the anime XD
P.S a characters name is go to a country's name omg canada they make fun of it so much because nothing happend in ww1 or2

i only watched dub idk about sub but they chose good voice actors 4 this todd heborkorn PERFECT with italy!
and others to it was amazing i was hooked with the manga and then it was a anime i was SOO exited
