Axis Powers Hetalia

Axis Powers Hetalia is a savior to those who dread the boring History Class. I know it pulled me through once I became highly addicted to each represented country; so whenever my teacher said "Germany was helping Italy." All I ever thought about was the character helping the other. It becomes increasingly amusing. And because of Hetalia I managed to get a 4 in my AP. Imagining the countries in live action was just too helpful for me.

This five minute episode series is very comedic (intentionally) and each character is given his or her (mainly his) random quirks or stereotypes. But it's not necessarily bad stereotypes. It's just there to make light of the series - and I promise you, you wouldn't even notice the stereotypes - well, maybe for some. But it's not meant to criticize any country at all.

The plot is mainly focusing on the WWII time line but it also has random time skips or flashbacks to the Colonial Period and up to the plain present. :)

I highly recommend this to people who are bored - or girls who need help with history XP

I absolutely lurved this anime ! It's funny and you just get to adore the characters so much ! I would dare you all not to laugh if it weren't this funny ! ;D The music is also catchy so watch it now!

Hetalia is the best anime series in my opinion. not only is it gust busting, but it also hjas some emotinal parts. (the american revolution) hetlia has helped me over and over in my social studies class, and has also made it more enjoyable. I am a personal fan of brittan (arthur), russia (ivan) and germany (ludwig). and wil crack up at 90% of what they do. of course my fav line is
"howthe holy fureh did he get into my bed"

its funny besides thats it 5 minutes its a must watch it tells a story of WW1 - WW2 it touching and funny i only watches episodes 1-62 and
it was worth it makes your day each character has their own song america , Germany japan and others and mostly my favorite Italy XD
it was awesome the music animation everything and the manga is worth buying for 50 or 60 bucks really i mean it if its this funny like im writing you might like it hope you enjoy the anime XD
P.S a characters name is go to a country's name omg canada they make fun of it so much because nothing happend in ww1 or2

i only watched dub idk about sub but they chose good voice actors 4 this todd heborkorn PERFECT with italy!
and others to it was amazing i was hooked with the manga and then it was a anime i was SOO exited

this is a filler anime but it tells a story of the county's hatered between eachother and love for them to!

So racist and stereotypical, its awesome!
Countries of all kinds in there, maybe ones you haven't even heard of.

Storyline:
There isnt one. you dont need one for this.
well, there are side stories, such as Chibitalia, America's Storage Room Cleaning, and others I cant think of right now.
Storyline takes place somewhere in WWll, WWl, and other parts of time during wars, depending on the country.

Music:
in 5 minutes, you cant have too much music. but the music they have is fitting mostly. the ED sometimes changes from Italy to Russia, America, England, Japan,Germany, and France.
Italy even makes a song for Germany. and its stupid/funny.

Characters:
There are as many characters as there are countries.
all of them are stereotyped off of their country's stereotyped looks. (ex. Germany has slicked back blonde hair, white skin and blue eyes.)
and personalities are also stereotyped. (ex. America is a spazz and is an idiot, says awesome and dude a lot, and takes command and charge often.)
military power even effects how strong they are, and what they do. (America is awesomely strong(he can throw a bison with one hand!) and Italy only surrenders and flees from battle.)
sometimes depending on what time period it is, Japan Germany and Italy are only friends because of the Axis powers and same with China Russia America France and England are all friends because of the Allies. Other times Japan and England are America's only friends, France and England hate each other(mostly all the time.), and Russia lives alone, due to the fall of communism.
EVERYTHING IS STEREOTYPED.

Animation:
Its sometimes a different take.
in Chibitalia, it has a different style then the main show.
its very colorful, not a dull spot. well, all the time other than America's storage cleaning.
its a very fast-paced anime so a lot of things happen.

Demographic/ Fans:

For girls: HECK YES. Almost every character is a dude so expect a lot of girl fans. unfortunately this leads to fangirls goin' and pairing things....

For Dudes: Unfortunately the most (girl)fans ruin it, so dudes hate it.
if you ignore the fans then yes, if you cant then you'll hate it just like everyone on 4chan and 2chan.
There ARE girl characters, Like Belarus, Ukraine, Lichtenstein, and Hungary. There are a few others too.

Dubs/ Subs:
Dubs actually win.
Dubs add a new sense to the anime unlike subs.
the dubbing makes accents. Accents are important to countries right? dialog with the accents you are (mostly) used to hearing from that certain countries makes it all the more awesome.
subs are nice, but they arent as awesome to me.
But the lines change for some parts because sometimes you cant quite fit the lines in english. but the replaced lines are usually funny no matter.
I say Quality improves with dubs.
in fact it is the best dub i had ever heard.

Overall:
You can surely learn from it, and brush up on stereotypes. meet some new countries and learn racist jokes.
its more of a girl thing because of fans, but I know a few dudes liking it because they dont care about the fans.
this is more of a lolz anime and not a history lesson but hey its totally worth watching. you can watch this anytime, thanks to the short episodes. I dont think you could get bored of it.

There are representitives of each country in this anime. england,America,France,Lithuania,Russia,Poland...and so on.
They are all Different,Which is why i like them! They all have a meeting room.
My favourite Character has got to be England,because he is stubborn, but funny. Italy is also a lively character-who LOVES Pasta! PAASTAA~~
Anyway...*coughs!* This anime makes HISTORY LESSONS FUN! (And geography lessons! ^^) It is educational and fun. I would reccomend it to EVERYONE!

Its also quite a short anime for those people who don't like really LONG Animes! And each episode is only 5 MINUTES LONG!

This show had me hooked on the first episode! When i saw that, i just had to watch more AND read the manga ! I love it ( a bit too much if you ask me) and i hope it never ever ends...

Prussia (プロイセン, Puroisen?) is the older brother of Germany and the other States of Germany and is a wild country who constantly fought, mostly with Hungary and Austria, just to get power. He is no longer his own nation but now lives with Germany after World War II. Prussia is very vain and prideful and often thinks that he is better than the other countries of the world and often calls himself "Awesome Me". His favorite leader of all is Frederich II of Prussia whom he fought for in the Silesian Wars against Austria. As a result, Prussia dislikes Austria and Hungary very much and is almost afraid of Hungary due to their hardships when they were younger. He is voiced by Atsushi Kousaka in Japanese and Jonathan Brooks in English.
