InuYasha (犬夜叉, InuYasha? also romanized as Inuyasha) is the protagonist in the manga and anime series InuYasha created by Rumiko Takahashi. Inu means dog and Yasha means spirit, therefore InuYasha literally translates to "dog spirit."
In 2001, InuYasha won the Animage Grand Prix for Best Male Character.
Bankostu is the leader and strongest member of the Band Of Seven. Naraku brings him back to life by implanting him with a Sacred Jewel Shard and then sends him to kill Inuyasha. He has close a relationaship with his whole band except for Renkostu who constantly sneaks behind his back to become stronger than him. His strongest bond is with Jakostu, who Renkostu kills, so out of grief Bankostu kills him. Inuyasha then later defeats him in a duel. As a result Naraku decides he is useless and takes the Jewel Shard that kept him alive, thus causing his death.
