Overview
Dan is a boy who loves basketball. In his early childhood, he used to play his sister, Coco, in basketball, but when an accident occurs, she is no longer able to play. Ever since then, Dan blames himself and desires to go to the moon, where they would have the technology to heal his sister. When an unexpected friend introduces him to a giant robot called a Bigfoot, he goes onto his path of becoming a legend, and gets ever closer to the moon.

Basquash! is a sports and sci-fi anime production currently airing on Mainichi Broadcasting System. It involves characters playing basketball while riding mecha. The series premise was created by Thomas Romain and Shoji Kawamori, with the animation produced by Satelight. Shoji Kawamori is handling the project direction, while the series direction will be done by Shin Itagaki. On July 10, it was reported that director Shin Itagaki was to be replaced by another, as yet, unnamed director starting from the eleventh episode.
