The gameplay is actually strait forward, no need to worry about complex button combinations at all. A majority of the puzzles are quite strait forward as well. Sometimes the Riddler challenges can slow you down for a moment or two while you figure them out. The enemy AI is about average. There is no need for needing a Strategy Guide to beat this game or figure out the extras, as the game does give you all the help you need to achieve everything. But the Joker's and other villains comments add to the ambiance of the game. The voice acting is pretty much superb, with the entire cast of Batman: The animated series that aired from 1992-1994 reprising their roles from that series. So Mark Hamill is the voice of the Joker once again.

What really makes this game great is how much of the Batman mythos is here in the game. Even if you are not into the entire lore/history of Batman, the game offers small snipits of it. The story of the game is quite entertaining, you follow the formula of learning what is going on as Batman does, so no clips giving you the full details early on. So this is quite fun. And the ending is what you come to expect from anything Batman.

Graphically the game is impressive. There is almost little difference in the graphics from the cutscenes to the gameplay. The overall feel of the game has been used before, but yet Batman: Arkham Asylum seems to make it feel a bit fresh. You can play it as a strait up go in there and beat the crap out of everything you see or you can go about trying to be as stealthy as possible. Replay wise its quite good. The challenge maps are quite entertaining. But the real gem of the game is the PS3 exclusive...getting to play as the Joker. This is quite fun and entertaining.

The only real thing I didn't care about was the game having achievements/trophies. But a majority of them game with defeating the villains in the game. I have never been a fan of video game achievements at all as they seem to be bragging right to who has the least social life of them all.

Overall I recommend this game to anyone. As is does deliver on several fronts of entertainment. Hopefully there will be a sequel made.

l watched a 30 min showing off the game, graphics, and what to be expected in the game and it looks like it's going to be one of the best Batman game out there. there are not many good batman games and this one lets you do more than just fight bad guys but solve mysteries and riddles. they added l new villain to the game called the Riddler. it looks amazing!!1!!one!!

Ive played the demo and I have seen most (if not all) of the videos and i can tell that this game is going to be awesome! I cannot wait until i get the money for the actual video game so that i can see what the Joker is up to :D.
