Buddhistson is a band from Kashiwa City, Japan. Members are Takuya Shima - Vocal/Guitar, Marcy - Drums, Yumi - Keyboard, Yas Uenuma - Bass, and Iroshi Yoshii - Guitar.

They started in the summer of 1999. Shima named the band Buddhistson because he loves Budda. Their 1st single titled "Towers" and 1 st album titled "Where Are You Going to Bury the Contents of Your Mind?" released from indie label called "No Code" that is owned by start today co.ltd. In November 2000, Buddhistson got guitarist Yoshii a week before 1st recording.

Buddhistson signed to the label Lastrum co.ltd. in 2002 and released their 2nd album titled "Yes, But I'm Alive" in February 2003 and got keyboard player Yumi before 2nd recording.

They were invited to play in the biggest festival in Singapore 2002, 2003 and 2004.

In August 2004, Buddhistson started self-label named "Music For Gorillas" and released a Split CD with Whence He Came (Hong Kong band) titled "This Is Where We Rise"
Music For Gorillas released Whence He Came's 2nd Album "The Shorter Story" in February 2005 and released Kamomekamome's first album that is Buddhistson's drummer Marcy and Yas's new band.

In the Summer of 2005, Buddhistson recorded 14 songs for new album self titled in Japan and the songs were mixed and mastered in Holland by dutch producer Martijn Groeneveld. It released November 2nd 2005 in Japan.
Since, they continue to tour and play live shows.
