It’s interesting but at the same time, I don’t want to go into an ally alone after watching this.

This is a really creepy show. I never know what is real or what isn’t with this, it seems to be all in Takumi head. I can understand why they call it Chaos;HEAd, his head is all screwed up. I got confused easily in the beginning, it was odd and out of place almost. I do have a question though, a lot of shows seem to have the main character that’s really off and then he ends up being the center of attention for all the girls. And of course, they all aren’t what people call normal. The strange thing is, Takumi sounds a bit like a couple people on DesuDes in his love for anime and such. He even talks about studying the director and writers which is pretty awesome. I like the fact that they really seem to add that part to the show.
When they say Psychological Thriller, they really mean it. It’s been making me wonder why a lot of these types are being dubbed now. I found this one on the Funimation Youtube account or I would of probably not heard about it until one of DesuDes looked into it. The whole show if a mind fuck, seriously. I watched with I had no sleep so I might be making it worse then it is on that account but really….
The artwork is really good, very crisp like normal shows in this time. While looking at all these shows, it’s hard to say anything about artwork that looks almost exactly the same as every other show that’s out there at around the same time.
The music for the ending is a little odd, and I don’t get it even if it’s a good beat. The opening is much better sounding then the ending and seems to give a better feel to the show. The English dub is pretty good and the girls don’t seem bothersome except for his sister. She is just plain annoying, like Eimi Ohba from Comic Party.

This story centers around a young high school student named Takumi Nishijo and is set in Shibuya in the city of Tokyo.Takumi is what you would call a Hikikomori. He always prefers to stay indoors and plat games or watch anime as opposed to being social. The story begins with Takumi talking to an online friend named Grim.He is trying to catch Takumi up on the New Generation murders that have been taking place around the city as of late, but Takumi is not interested in such news.Soon a person named Shogun joins the chat half way through Grim’s and Takumi’s conversation, but he does not respond when greeted by both Grim and Takumi. Before Grim leaves the chat, he sends Takumi a poorly drawn picture of a man person getting stabbed with several stakes. When Grim leaves the chat room Shogun finally begins talking, He sends Takumi a barrage of several realistic image links, with the stakes pinned as in Shogun’s, depicting a murder. The next day when Takumi is heading home after visiting an internet cafe, he comes across the same scene depicted in the pictures that shogun had sent him.He sees a male body nailed to the wall as well as a pink-haired girl dressed in a Suimei Academy uniform, the same school that he goes to.He notices she is covered in blood and holding one of the stakes. When he returns to his senses and grasps the situation at hand he turns and runs away screaming. The story progresses from here with Takumi trying to avoid getting involved with Shogun and other New Generation events as he is slowly caught in a grander scheme’s wheels of motion.

Hikikomori ( Hikikomori?, lit. “pulling away, being confined”, i.e., “acute social withdrawal”) is a Japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive individuals who have chosen to withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement due to various personal and social factors in their lives. The term hikikomori refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general as well as to individuals belonging to this societal group.

I personally loved this series, it makes you think a great deal, and by the end you will most definitely be asking yourself “What If?”.This series is most definitely a brain stumper, with talk of quatum physics and nervous system brain waves, electronic pluses and much much more.If you are a hardcore thinker and liked series like Death Note, I think you will love this. There is also a very good hint of fantasy thrown into this along with 6 hot females, demanding the main characters attention in some shape way or form.

Nishijo Takumi
is the main protaganist in Chaos Head.He is a very reclusive person and only attends school in order to fulfill the minimum for graduation requirements. He often and repeatedly notes that he is not interested in girls in the three-dimensional world and avoids conversations with others whenever possible. He prefers to engage in watching anime, playing eroge, and massively multiplayer online role-playing games. He is a second-year student at Suimei Academy.

Rimi Sakihata
is a mysterious pink-haired girl that Takumi encounters at the crime scene on his way home. Rimi was wearing Suimei Academy’s uniform at the time and appeared to recognize Takumi. She is Takumi’s classmate and has been his friend since their first year.

Nanami Nishijo
is Takumi’s younger sister and is a first-year Suimei Academy student. She often puts up a strong front and seems to argue with her brother whenever they meet but she is actually really concerned about him.

Grim
is Takumi’s online friend, who talks to him almost everyday through their mutual favorite online game, Ensuu. He often encourages Takumi to have more courage while dealing with the “third dimension”, and supports Takumi throughout his many ordeals. He is very interested in the New Gene incidents and frequently updates Takumi with gory details regarding the murders.

Shogun
is a mysterious person that Takumi meets during a chatting session. He sends gore pictures relating to the New Gene incident to Takumi, the equation “fun^10xint^40=Ir2″, and the phrase “Whose eyes are those eyes”, which Takumi often used. This event gives Takumi paranoia throughout the story, thinking he is a culprit behind the New Gene incident.

The animation in chaos head is very cute and is not something you would expect in this type of anime. The OP is “F.D.D.” and sung by Kanako Ito, and the ending is “Super Special”, sung by Seira Kagami.

I’m giving this anime a perfect 10 out of 10 for just the shear amount of thought you have to put into this along, with there being numerous scientifical references.
