Cheshire was Alice's pet cat that died 100 years ago, being killed by Vincent Nightray in his cat version. He lives in a dimension that was created by Alice's memories. He resembles the human form of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. He has massive long arms with long claws and a bell can be seen attached around his neck. The bell was actually the truth from 100 years ago (Alice's memories, later taken by Break and was destroyed by Vincent Nightray). The Cheshire cat is a unique chain in that he doesn't need a contractor in order to leave the Abyss (since his residence isn't in the Abyss in the first place). He resides in a dimension of his own that was created by Alice's memories. Originally believed to be a fervent servant of the Intention of the Abyss, it later turns out that he is trying to protect Alice's memories that she abandoned, in order to prevent her from suffering pain when she recalls them. Break mentions that Cheshire's left eye was his. He speaks in third person.
In his battle with Break, Cheshire got both his arms cut off. Later, he reverted to his original form which looked similar to a large cat shaped shadow. Break then slashed at Cheshire's head when he attempted to attack Oz and Gil. Cheshire's form broke apart and he died due to the injuries Break inflicted on him. Supposedly, he loved his human form because it made him closer to Alice, but he abandoned it to fight the intruders to his world.
