Chicosci is a 5 piece band based in Manila. The band is composed of vocalist Miguel Chavez, bassist Carlos Calderon, drummer Joel Salvador, guitarist Sonny Baquisal and guitarist/keyboardist Mong Alcaraz. They were first named Chico Science in homage to the Brazilian musician of same name. They later shortened this to Chicosci in order to avoid confusion with the Brazilian artist.

Chicosci's biggest mainstream hit is "Paris" from their sophomore album (but first one as Chicosci) "Method of Breathing". "Paris" stands as the only song to hold the number one spot on Manila rock station NU 107's Midnight Countdown for a lengthy period of time.

"Shallow Graves" from the third release, "Icarus", peaked highest at number 7. Icarus failed to capture the success of "Method of Breathing. In 2005, Chicosci fronted for Good Charlotte during their Good Charlotte's concert in the Philippines.

On June 6 2006, Chicosci released their fourth album, and first independent and self titled record. The first single "A Promise", peaked at number four in the Myx daily top ten, and number one on Nu 107's "Stairway to Seven" countdown. In Decemberof 2006, the band was signed by MCA-Universal, and re-released their self-titled album. The second and third singles; "Seven Black Roses" and "Chicosci Vampire Social Club", both peaked at number one in the Myx daily to ten.

Chicosci went on a tour in Malaysia entitled Crossborders with popular bands Love Me Butch and Prana, and another tour in Singapore with lots of bands, prominently with A Vacant Affair at the Arts House. They also toured with bands like Faspitch on a tour called "Invasia".

Eugene Esquivas(percussions) departed from the group in early 2007 to migrate to Canada.
