Cross Game

Cross Game is undeniably one of the best anime in 2009.Fans from the oldies who enjoyed H2 and Touch are in for another wondrous ride.Yes,it's the great author Adachi Mitsuru who is famous for producing great characters and stories and we're heading to Koushien once again.I'm not going to spoil it all for those who don't know of course.Be assured that all the positive things you have heard about Cross Game are true.The first episode,in specific,was a masterpiece.

What you can expect? Cross Game is simply beautiful,down to earth and captivating.Doesn't try to be overly dramatic,doesn't try to be too funny and most importantly,doesn't try to excite viewers with cheesy moments.The natural flow of events and dry humor make viewing all special and smooth.It was the perfect blend of comedy,romance and sport actions. Believe it.

Like I said before,Cross Game has great characters.That is to me,the most important factor that holds the anime so firmly.I would casually describe them as earnest and passionate but words just don't deliver and understate the impression I wanted to convey.You will come to like them right from the first episode and gradually,you will feel for them and before you know it,you are cheering very hard for them to come through it all and win.

The animation and character designs are reminiscent of the author previous works,a real treat to the 80s fans.

Cross Game,in my opinion,is Adachi-sensei's best work to date.The bar for sport anime is set the highest ever. Both the anime and manga are still ongoing.I reckon the manga,currently sitting at chapter 156,will end pretty soon.The anime is now at episode 42,broadcasting new episodes weekly.It's never too late to start,you will just enjoy it at a later time.But why so?Start now,Cross Game is not to be missed whether or not you are a fan of baseball.

When you first read about cross-game you think its just another baseball anime, your both wrong and correct. Yes its a anime about baseball, but the focus is not just on baseball. Its about the development of a relationship in denial between the two protagonists.
Then a 3rd person comes in, and the competition starts. How will it end?

Its a typical relationship where both have feelings for eachother, but both dont want to admit. Tsundere fans rejoice!

The storyline itself is progressing slowly but steady. But like I previously said, the main attention should be at the relationships between the characters. I truely enjoy watching them develop trough the series with the bottom of my heart.
