"Who are you?"

A wave of gruesome murders is sweeping Tokyo. The only connection is a blood-soaked "X" carved into the neck of every murder victim. In each case the murderer is found near their victim yet remembers nothing about their crime. Detective Takabe and psychiatrist Sakuma are called in to find the connection among these murders, but their investigation goes nowhere. An odd young man is arrested near the scene of the latest murder, but he has a strange effect on everyone who comes into contact with him. Detective Takabe takes it further by investigating for the connection between the mysterious man and the murders. But soon he finds himself in the heart of darkness.
