Newcomer hip-hop band Da Mouth is making quick waves in Taiwan. Formed by MC 40, DJ Zong Hua, male vocalist Huai Qiu, and female vocalist Ai Sha, this loud and energetic group has brought an all new sound to the Mandarin music scene. Their self-titled debut album is a fusion of pop, rap, electronic, and dance, with a Japanese-style eurobeat-meets-street hip-hop sound similar to groups like AAA. Sealing the album's credentials is the great trio of Adia, Daniel B, and Showan serving as producers. Unabashedly young, fun, and catchy, this upbeat album is definitely one of the freshest and most exciting mainstream Mandarin releases of 2007.
