Detective Conan

A famous high school detective, Shinichi Kudo, goes into a amusement park with his childhood friend, Ran Mouri, there he sees to mysterious men in black, attracted by their carefulness, he follows them into a dark street where he finds them blackmailing a man. Just as he was going to call for someone, his accomplice comes from behind and hits him, then he takes out a pill and makes him drink it up, turns out that the pill makes the body of a person return to their older days by ten years. Now that Shinichi has become a little infant again, he seeks the help of a man that he has trusted for many years, doctor Agasa, a inventor with no future, he advises him to live the the Mouri's. Kogoro Mouri is the father of Ran Mouri, and like Shinichi, he is a unofficial detective, just less smarter. Shinchi takes the name of Conan Edogawa and solves cases through mediums such as Kogoro Mouri or Police Inspectors, at the same times, he searches non-stop the true significance behind the men in black and their intentions. In this 600 episode and increasing anime, you will see many original ways of killing people, and the ways to come up with the logical truth behind them. After all, there's only one truth behind them, and that is the answer to the series of unexpected cases.

Overall: This anime though is long, it really brings a light upon what we thought of detectives, showing us the ways and logical thinking necessary for us to be able to resolve even the most mystical and inhumane cases.
Story line: It introduce us not only to murder cases but the robbery, burglary, blackmailing or just simple everyday stuff we miss. By going through the infinite unreasonable doors of thinking, we can observe and imply them with prior knowledge to finally hit a conclusion such as those introduced at first by Doyle Conan's Sherlock Holmes "Observation, Deduction, and Knowledge".
Music: The music really reminds us the seriousness that these cases hold for each individual and not to take it lightly nor as a joke but one of the most highest, unforgivable events ever brought to us.
Characters: The characters really diverse from each other and having multiple points of view and also personalities not yet reflected by any other means. Either for comedy, or just pure satisfactions, each new victim and criminal or just by-standers have something in them that will never bore us.
Animation: At the start, the animation can be a little too general, but as the anime progresses, we can start viewing all these changes upon the characters, and until currently now, all the characters have received a major change which truly takes out the meaning of their role in the series.

Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan or Case-Closed) is a story where the main character called Kudo Shinichi (工藤 新一or Jimmy Kudo) is a 17 year old famous high school detective in Japan. One day, when he goes on a date with his childhood friend Mouri Ran (Rachel Moore) to a fun park called Tropical Land, he suddenly notices blackmailing between a suspicious man called Vodka but since he was too engrossed in the conversation, he gets knocked out by another member, Gin. He then forces a new type of created poison by their organization, APTX 4869, and they leave him to die there. But instead of dying, a rare type of effect occurs. His body shrinks into a 6 year old bosy and with nowhere to go, he escapes home and luckily meets his next door neighbour, Professor Agasa, who warns him to keep it a secret, other wise, the organization might come to track him down and kill him and his family and friends.

Storyline: Case Closed is a mystery manga created by Gosho Aoyama.It is a story of a detective named Jimmy Kudo (Shinichi Kudo in the Japanese anime) who went on a park with his love interests Ran Mouri.He witnessed a suspicious transaction between two men in black,but he didn't noticed his accomplice sneaking behind him and he was knocked unconscious.He was forced to fed on a drug called the APTX-4869.Knowing that this mysterious drug will kill Shinichi,They ran away,but they soon found out it made him shrink into the size of a child instead.So he came to Professor Agasas house and decided to change his name to Edogawa Conan.And so the quest to hunt the Black Organization begins
Music: The soundtrack of these anime has reached 30 soundtracks,It's songs are about love and mystery
Characters: Gosho Aoyama had a great job mimicking the characters in this anime to their historical detective counterparts.Jimmy Kudo was patterned from Sherlock Holmes because he is smart and can always solve cases in a jiffy.Kaitou Kid i say is the most sly heist in history because even if Shinichi always anticipates his next move,He always has another trick up his sleeve so he manages to get away with the jewels he have stolen.Overall great character and historical detective concept
Animation: The animation is fluid,Mysterious atmosphere wraps the anime as the case goes on,Giving u that suspense and mysterious thrill.The animation is solid
Overall: Case Closed,I would rate this anime 5/5 because it's suspense,thrilling atmosphere makes the viewers come back for more,Always watching Conan's adventures,Trust me,You won't get EVER bored watching these anime. Happy mystery solving

My most favourite anime of ALL time!
It has the most pefect combination of HUMOUR, COMEDY, ROMANCE, SUSPENCE, MYSTERY & HORROR.
The many cases, many couples and the author does indeed write this story well.

It does not fail to keep me excited & wanting to watch // read more.
The more manga chapters & anime episodes or movies that come out, the more I feel like I've got to watch!
The cases never fail to keep you wondering who the murderer is and the characters are simply adorable!
You can tell the main // minor characters are not perfect but are all different & individual in their own way, and that's what I like about it.
Sure, there are one or two or maybe a few flaws with manga chapters & the anime but it's still very well done.

Gosho Aoyama-San does not fail to please his fans & I hope to see more coming for this series for many years!

It's a very successful series overall and I can't wait to see what it'll bring in the future.

I just love Detective Conan. It's a great anime, even after 14 years it's still as good. I find it very entertaining to watch because it's suspenseful and trying to find out the culprit before Conan is fun. It keeps your brain working throughout the anime. It has some funny moments with the Detective Boys and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. It has some romance but most of the "couples" are childhood friends.

There are two enemies for Conan. The Black Organization and Kaitou Kid. Kaitou Kid is a magician that steals rare and valuable gems using amazing magic tricks and is always fooling the police, but he's no match for Conan! The Black Organization were the people who made Shinichi turn into Conan. They are a dangerous and daring group because they are able to do things in the shadows and leave no clues behind after their crimes.

The Detective Boys are a group of primary schoolers who are in the same class as Conan. They love solving mysteries as much as Conan and have solved many cases with him. The members include Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta and Haibara Ai. Haibara also known as Sherry was once in the organization. She took the same drug that was used on Conan and turned small too. She's helping to find an antidote for the drug that she herself made while helping Conan find the Black Organization.

This anime is a great way to work your brain while watching and has it's many funny moments mixed in with sad and happy ones. I hope you enjoy watching this anime! Even though it's almost at 600 episodes, it's not finished yet. Conan has a long way to go before destroying the Black Organization and turning back into the high-schooler Shinichi. Hope you watch from the beginning until the end!

I am a huge Detective Conan fan. This anime is indescribably amazing. The storyline is great, the music is sooooo good, I love the characters (namely, HAIBARA AI), and the animation is amazing!! The old Detective Conan animation/graphics is vintage and cool, and the newer episodes are bright in color and the graphics are sharp and clear. WATCH CONAN.

Okay, The storyline is about a high-school detective named, Kudo Shinichi. He goes to the fair with Mouri Ran, he then is knocked out by the black orginization and is forced a drug called, APPTX 4869 (I think lol) he is shrunk to a size of a child. The police discover him and he finds out he has shrunk, if the black orginization finds out he isn't dead they will return to kill him and the close people around him, including Ran who he thinks of as a very close friend and kindergarten play-mates will aslo be in danger.
I think this is a great anime whether its manga or the anime itself, the openings and ending songs as well as the theme is very well fitted.
And I gurantee you if you watch this anime you can't stop, and the best thing about it is that it has lots of episodes! So you don't have to finish the whole anime in one day (Which is sorta impossible)
Another great thing is that the anime shows equally, "ConanXRan" moments as well as "AiXConan" moments.
Shinichi renamed himself as "Conan" To hide his real identity from Ran to keep her safe as well as his own friends and close people.
This is a great anime because all the murderers are unexpected and they use many many many different ways to kill people (not that i like seeing people getting killed)
the voices are very well suited and the Shinichi and Ran moments are to die for.
This anime is not yet finished with the plot of Conan and Ai trying to keep up with the black orginization meeting lots of crimes on the way.
Reviews aren't very good, the best way is to try it yourself!

detective conan has a very long storyline but it really enjoys me!!

shinichi is soo brilliant!!there is no case that he remained unsolved!!!! but he was drugged and shrinked into conan,who lives with ran and her father detective mouri kogoro

I know a lot of people love Detective Conan, and so they don't want it to end. But in my opinion, and I have to say I love Detective Conan as well, it has to end soon. Just think, how long as it been 'in-progress'? Since 1997? There have been 13 anime movies, 2 live action specials, 500+ episodes, 9 OVA's, and counting! Seriously!

The strengths of DC are its intriguing plot - the primary one, where Kudou is trying to bust the Black Org - and its equally intriguing premise: What if a really gifted teenage detective shrinks to his seven year old self, retaining his brain in the process of transformation, and ends up juggling his 'kiddy' act and his genius persona?

The most obvious weakness of DC? It's plot development. And Ran. I'm sorry, I just really don't like her. She's so one-dimensional. Regarding plot development, I just don't like the fact that DC's focus deviates far too often to be coherent. Just when things with the BO are starting to heat up, Conan and Co. get sidetracked with a minor case and boom! The story becomes longer and more complicated.

So I say, it should end soon.
