Extended Information

Takato collects Digimon Cards, a card game, one day he finds a blue card which he knew he didn’t have. When he scans it though a card reading device it changes into a Digivice and Guilmon is created. Guilmon was created by Takato and is unique as he was made from the information and data of Takato’s sketches which were scanned as well. Henry and Rika found their Digimon with different methods, a video game and just randomly. Henry and Takato work together whilst Rika fights on her own. But eventually they all become a team. They fight wild Digimon which come to the real world. A secret government agency monitors wild Digimon round the globe. Devas show up later, they serve the Digimon Sovereigns, and believe that Digimon shouldn’t pair up with humans. They are very powerful and are based on the Chinese Zodiac. The Tamers defend the real world against them with difficulty. It turns out the Devas’ actually had a purpose which was to take Calumon (a wild Digimon who loves snacks and doesn’t have a Tamer or any real powers) to the Digital World as he has the power of Digivolution. Digivolution is when a Digimon evolves to the next level. They destroy all the Devas’ save one who becomes Suzie’s partner. Suzie is Henry’s younger sister. They defeat Beelzemon, the evolved Impmon, but at the cost of Jeri’s partner Leomon. Impmon is a Digimon who ran away from his partners after being fought over and hates humans. Jeri is one of the other people who become tamers during the series. Leomon is a justice Digimon who Jeri chases after for ages before becoming her partner. Because of this Jeri falls into depression. After traveling to the Digital World to rescue Calumon the Tamers meet one of the four Digital Gods, but finally agree to work together in order to destroy the D-Reaper, a computer program initially designed to keep digital life from getting out of control, but it itself went out of control. The Tamers have to save both worlds from the D-Reaper, as well as rescue Jeri, who has been taken by the renegade program and is feeding it information with her sadness. A huge battle ensues with Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo and their Digimon versus the D-Reaper with Takato trying to rescue Jeri while the others try to finish of the D-Reaper for good. Ryo is Rika’s rival in the card game after he beat her at a championship. After a massive battle, the D-Reaper is finally defeated when Henry and Terriermon implement a plan created by Hypnos and the Monster Makers and manage to devolve the D-Reaper back to its original harmless state and send it back to the Digital World. The D-Reaper, unlike the other foes, is not destroyed, just devolved. Takato and Guilmon succeed in rescuing Jeri and everyone is rescued by Takato's friends Kazu and Kenta and their Digimon. Kazu and Kenta are some of Takato’s friends who meet Guilmon and go to the Digital World with them. The Digimon are forced to return to the Digital World.
