Gakuen Alice

I really like the strong bonds of friendship they have, even in the anime. I was truly amazed as I progressed on reading the manga though. Although they showed few parts in the anime which supposedly needed explanations, (Like Mikan's mom as Narumi's lover, like the past of Hyuuga Natsume, etc.), I never expected the story to have such an interesting twist in the manga. I didn't know that the continuation to the all happy anime story would actually be so melancholic.
I'm hoping for a season 2. It would really be nice if they'd add the developments. ;)
Anyways, hope chapter 161 comes out soon. Can wait! ~

Gakuen Alice is a Japanese manga [Tachibana Higuchi] and anime with the genres; comedy, supernatural and romance. The anime consists of 26 episodes, and the manga is ongoing, so far [28/8/11] with 151 chapters.
Gakuen Alice; a top academy with the smartest or most talented students from all over Japan, with their rules so strict, that you are not even allowed to see your parents, or in short, no contact with the outside world besides the academy itself. Anything suspicious about this ?...
The story is about a ten year old girl named Sakura Mikan who is best friends with Hotaru Imai, in a small town in the countryside. One day, Hotaru suddenly leaves for Alice Academy, or Gakuen Alice, to study, in which Sakura gets surprised and fusses about it, shortly before her departure. One night, she decides to set foot out to find Hotaru for a visit because she couldn't stand not seeing her, and soon ends up enrolling in the academy herself!
Sakura soon finds out that the academy isn't actually about nerdy students, but children who have gifts, called Alices. They range in various ways, from an Alice that can read minds, create fire, or make people attracted to them, but also Alices that can make people laugh, or even faint from their 'super' farts!
Throughout the story she meets various people and problems, in which she overcomes with her friends. During a challenge for getting into the academy, she discovers her Alice-the ability to nullify, or block other Alices from working on herself.
I'd say that this anime is really good, and you should watch it, but also read the manga, because the story goes on and there is much more that happens. If you are seeking for more romance in this series and have only watched the anime, I suggest you to read the manga because there is even more romantic scenes and problems that occur. I believe the manga is better though, because in the anime, there are some questions that have been left unanswered.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it! You may even regret NOT watching it, sooner or later after you have finished reading this review-so in other words, I LOVE GAKUEN ALICE~.

i like the story line its very good and the act of the characters , i think its nice idea to work gakuen alice forever ......this is my # 1 anime ,hopefully theres have season 2( onegai ) ilove it so much so soso so so so much

Best friends Mikan and Hotaru grew up in a small town in the remote countryside. When Hotaru moves to a school for geniuses in Tokyo, Mikan misses Hotaru so badly that she decides to travel to Tokyo herself to find Hotaru. She finds Hotaru in a school called "Alice Academy," and finds that the school is actually for people with special powers called "Alices." Narumi-sensei, a teacher at the school, discovers that Mikan also happens to have an Alice, and Mikan is admitted into the academy. At first, she becomes enemies with a boy named Natsume with a fire alice but later Mikan made friends with him (Natsume). She also befriends his best friend, Ruka or Luca in English. There she finds friends, love, and a life that she will never forget. However, during that time, Mikan (along with her friends) find out that the academy is really built on both secrets and lies.

if you dont watch this anime, you'l regret it. ITS THE BEST ANIME EVERR!! the animation isnt that good, but NATSUMEE IS THE CUTEST GUY IN THE WORLD. well in the animes that ive watched so far. XD. SO ANYWAYS, THIS ANIME IS THE BESTTTTTTTTT~~~~ SOOO CUTEE!!! i wish they'd continue it, the manga's really good too^^

Ever since i finished watching Gakuen Alice Season1, i had always longed for its Season2.
Im not that satisfied in season 1 because there aren't too many moments between Mikan and Natsume.
they're such cute couple, y'know. T_T

Episode 4.
Its the part when Mikan's Alice was finally revealed! Thanks to the harsh ways of Natsume. -_-

When Ruka saw Mikan and Natsume's position. HAHA.
Its too funny.
And Natsume even teased Mikan that time
Ruka wondered why they are in that position.
Then Natsume just answered.
