im only on ep 3 but... GEEZ! hes such a friggin manwhore!! i mean i felt sorry for him in the beginning. forbidden love and all that. but hes got his share of condolences from all those women already! i hope karma kicks him in the ass.

Having said that, if you can read chinese, you should go for the chinese subs. They are as close to the jap interpretation as you can get.

the reason why nobody is subbing it in english is because it's too hard. The language used and the context behind the words used. it's just soo hard to translate into English. The Chinese subtitles are out and they are much easier to do

Yes, he made an honest woman of her. However, that happened still early in the Tale. He even cheated on her, and had a daughter. Murasaki never had children.

It looks good, I'd like subs though. It's based on the epic tale of the same name. For lack of a better term, Genji was the "Don Juan" of Heian Japan. Beginning with a major Oedipus Complex,that's seen here in this episode.
