Ginga Densetsu WEED

Ginga Densetsu Weed is the sequel of the popular series, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin.
GDW was made after GNG was a popular topic; and both series feature the same basic plot; a young akita inu-- or bearh-hound-- that ventures to different places around Japan to battle fortresses and enemies.

While in GNG, the main character fights bears; and Akakabuto, in GDW, the main character who is Weed, fights another pack of dogs who want to "take over the world."

It is a very thrilling anime; however minor plots may get confusing unless the view has watched GNG before.

Art: It has decent to great art. The anatomy is amazing; the only feature that bothers me is the shape of the head at degree 3/4.

Plot: GDW generally has two plots; the first is shorter than the second. Before Weed finds out about Hougen, Weed's enemy, Weed and his friends fight a deformed dog; P-4. Then he later ventures out to find more friends and continue his search for Gin, the leader of Ohu.

Characters: Each character is very unique; however you may find that many characters are rip-offs from the prequel, GNG. The resemblance between both animes are noticable (in looks); Weed is very much like his father Gin, Koushirou to Akame, Jerome to John; and so on. However you may find the characters somewhat amusing.

Content: I would rate this teen+. Mainly because there are blood and gore-- much of what you would expect from a shounen "fighting" and action anime. There are also words that may not be suited for younger viewers.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this anime! I've gotten two of my friends to watch it; and they loved it. I would recommend anyone who loves animals; is ok with blood and very minor profanity to watch this anime-- and its prequel.

This show/anime is really good.Clearly i really like gin as my favorite character:)
The only thing is that weed is really silver instead of Blue(the color he is in the anime)
WeedxJerome is not a true couple unless you belive that weed is a gay dog(lol)
I mean well it kinda shows that weed likes jerome but i just put it out of my mind that those 2 really like each other

I love the anime but the manga is WAY better! Jerome is alive stil! Its got a great story too, and the animation totaly takes the cake! John was awsome,,,, the only thing is that they made weed look blue, and hes silver.

the ones who dont like ginga densetsu weed you should watch, for me it was sad about kamikiri stayed alone and bleeding it really maked me cry it was the sadest part for me and the one of jerome.......poor jerome R.I.P jerome
