Godo

Godo is a master blacksmith and inventor of weapons living in a remote mountain cabin with his daughter Erica. He once served a King and lived in a city but was forced to flee after he forged the Dragon Slayer. This was because the local rulers tried to imprison him so that he could not craft any powerful weapons outside their control.

The exact nature of how he first met Guts is unknown but he took him on as a freeloader for a few months after he left the Band of the Hawk. Many of the weapons and swords Guts uses from that point on in his life were created by Godo. However Godo himself has no reason for this and seems to craft weapons not out of love for his art, but out of compulsion.

After the conclusion of events in Berserk he takes on Rickert as an apprentice.
