I find the lack of constructive reviews on this site disturbing. Anyways, what I say below is just my opinion.

The reason why I like Ikuto WAY better than Tadase is not only because of his looks, but his character. Sure, his teasing can annoy a few (I'm not one of them) but he really does show how much he cares about Amu, even going as far as to hurting her, Tadase, Utau etc etc just to keep them safe. Yes, 4-5 years older than Amu but does that really doesn't matter when it comes to true love. Also, unlike Tadase, he doesn't cry or complain when he's feeling down or hurt. He just keeps the pain inside so he doesn't involve other people he cares about in his business. In episode 77, Tadase just took off crying without having Amu explain. Shows how immature he is compared to Ikuto who took her harsh words without bitching or complaining.

Just my two cents.

At his first appearance, Tsukiyomi Ikuto seems like a rebellious, bad-guy character, who attacks the manga's protagonist, Hinamori Amu, and is obviously in a bad relationship with her crush, Tadase.

Later, we see that he's actually trying to apologize for ruining the cakes Amu was working on so much by buying her sweets to replace the ruined cakes. That already gives us a clue that he might not be all bad... Or is developing a crush on the protagonist, which is really likely, what with all his flirting :D

As things develop, we find out more about the mysterious teen: he has a famous sister who is in love with him, and who is aspiring to save Ikuto from Easter. It also turns out Easter is a company that keeps Ikuto there, against his own will; how they keep him there is only revealed in the latest chapters. We often find Ikuto helping Amu, and after the boy realizes that X eggs can be purified, he stops breaking them, though he knows he would get in trouble with Easter for his disobedience.

Slowly, but surely, Ikuto's character changes from the handsome dark bad-guy to a teenager who tries to shoulder everybody's pain by his own, bottling it all up inside, and for all that, only desires one thing: freedom.

Yoru, his shugo chara, represents this desire well: he's an alley cat, who wanders around whenever he wants, pranks others, is mischievous, but when you look deeper, you see he's also loyal, and is capable of deep love for his partner, Ikuto.

His relationship with Amu...? Surely, it start out as flirting and teasing, Ikuto finds Amu interesting, but since she's a 12 year old, he never goes farther than teasing; he is careful not to really hurt hur. Later on, things change, and Ikuto is forced to admit that he is, in fact, in love with Amu.

Hopefully, more details would be revealed in the new series, Shugo Chara! Encore about Tsukiyomi Ikuto, the "Cat-eared Perverted Cosplaying Guy"!

He is so cute! Even though he's in high school, he's in love with Amu! He hides it though...HE SHOULDN'T! Tadasai can suck his balls...Oops got carried away....Amu and Ikuto foreva!! Who do you think Amu should be with *cough cough* IKUTO!

Ikuto it described as a black cat of misfortune when actually he can't bear to hurt the people closest to him and even people he doensn't know, he is misunderstood as he is always in the wrong place at the wrong time.He is also in love with Amu but Amu can't decide who she truely loves between Taduse and Ikuto.

Ikuto tsukyomi is a very good guy, one time when his father would go adventuring. Ikuto friend of his father which is deposited at home keluaga hotori. But the wife is in the pack hotori Ikuto hated because he considers the child's jinxed. As time passed by hatred mother became increasingly tadase he always blames Ikuto if there was a problem, even banned Ikuto play at or near utau and tadase. Until one day, Ikuto decides to leave the house, middle of the road he berteu with Tsukasa, Tsukasa feel sorry for Ikuto and Ikuto asked to stay with him for a while. After several months of Ikuto married mothers with the director of Easter, so Ikuto and utau serve as a member of Easter. A few years later Ikuto already a high school student, one day while sleeping in a hole suddenly fell tibah kcil a girl who falls on it. As seen Ikuto felt shocked, a little girl named Amu Hinamori iu. Very interested by the Amu Ikuto Amu looks like a child because it's funny and self-centered. She also always helps Amu clandestinely when Amu having problems. Once all eggs shogu Amu Nikaido stolen by a new teacher in class Amu. Nikaido time with his guardian and then Ikuto jumped pur-pura slipped sehinggah eggs fall under Nikaido and Amu managed to take two eggs. but one of the eggs Amu successfully taken away by Nikaido. But the next morning Amu Ikuto came over and escorted home Nikaido. A few days later Ikuto help a group of women who are harassed by punk kids but he was hurt because the child was carrying a sharp weapon brat. so that he was injured pretty badly. She also loved to do seal the Amu let alone he has karkter like a wild cat.

Ikuto is a teenage boy contracted by Easter to find the Embryo. He often helps Amu Hinamori even though he works for the Easter Company. Ikuto actually despises Easter and tries to wrench himself free from them by trying to find the Embryo to grant his own wish. By chapter 43, he had left Easter Company in search of his father. In the third season of the anime, he is already traveling the world to search for his father and therefore is absent from the series.
He is in possession of the Dumpty Key. It pairs with Amu's Humpty Lock.


Like his father, Ikuto is a skilled violinist. His mother, upon marrying someone else after they found her husband's violin in a foreign country and believing that he would not come back, bound her children into working for Easter.

Ikuto is in love with Amu Hinamori, confessing it in chapters 28 and saying it in 43 of the manga. He also kissed her on the cheek before taking off in chapter 43. He confessed to her in the anime the same time Tadase did, but Amu thought it was a joke.
In Chapter 28, Ikuto told Amu to grow up faster because he wanted Amu to catch up to him.

In the anime, after he leaves Japan to search for his father, Ikuto keeps in touch with Amu, Utau and Tadase.

Ikuto has blue hair and eyes. He is taller than Amu Hinamori and Tadase Hotori.

He wears a choker with a silver cross. He is most often seen in his black school uniform, but he has been seen in other black (or indigo) outfits.
Ikuto is enigmatic, aloof, stoic and a little naughty, much like an alley cat. He can also be sweet and kind. He likes teasing people, especially Amu and Tadase. Ikuto is selfless and protective, thus, he is willing to distance himself from those he cares in order to protect them and stop them from getting embroiled in his own troubles. This explains why he kept himself away from Utau after she allies with the Guardians. Another example of this is when he makes fun of Tadase so that he'd be hurt and make Amu hate him, so ultimately they [Amu and Tadase] would not meddle with his troubles with Easter (especially Amu).

Although Ikuto may seem to have a passive personality, he is quite perceptive and honest.
His Guardian Character is the mischievous Yoru, who is created from his desire to become free as a stray cat.
During a character change, Ikuto gains a pair of cat ears and a tail, and is bestowed with reflexes and moves that only come from a cat. He can also form virtual cat claws from his hands, created to form the attack Phantom Claw, something he cannot do during Character Transformation

Ikuto only has one standard transformation, and that is "Black Lynx". However, due to being manipulated by Easter's powers, he gains a new transformation, which he will most likely not be able to use anymore after the battle versus Easter ended.
Ikuto can Character Transform with Yoru into Black Lynx . This represents his desire to be as free as a stray cat. Black Lynx first appears in Chapter 7 of the manga and Episode 13 of the anime, where he "saves" Amu from an X Egg only to break it.

Appearance:
When transformed, Ikuto grows cat ears and a cat tail and wears a short navy top with long navy pants. He also wears a glove on his right hand with metal claws.
Abilities:
Ikuto gains increased cat-like reflexes and senses. He can use his gloves' sharp claws to utilize an attack called Slash Claw
