Protect Gear (プロテクトギア, purotekutogia) is a fictional set of full-body armour. It is a key element of Mamoru Oshii's Kerberos saga, with the helmet portion used as logo of the saga, similar to the way the Labor head is used for Oshii's Headgear production team. The Protect Gear was designed by Yutaka Izubuchi, a Japanese mechanical designer famous for his work on Patlabor.
