One of my favorite anime's besides Vampire knight. i loved this it was so different. Each episode had me wondering what was going to happen next. Once I started watching i couldn't stop and watched them all in one night. I love Thor he is a great character. The main guys on here are attractive. Sometimes I actually felt like I was on this planet experiencing everything happening with the characters. This anime really made me feel. I can really relate this anime as a metaphor to the wonders and dangers of advanced technology, also this anime included many themes such as mentioned before, love, morals, crooked politics, brotherly love, etc. I wish the series was longer and the end turned out different.

Jyu-Oh-Sei is a simple sweet Japanese Animation that is short but enough. If you are looking for a different anime to watch, this would be the perfect one to pass the time while you look for another to your liking.
This anime has eleven episodes with a major split.
The main character is Thor. One of two identical twins that were born differently from each other.
The first five episodes shows Thor as a young 11 year-old boy. Episode's 6 till end, he is 15. The series starts out with Thor and Rai, his twin bother, on their home in space. However, once back in their homely quarters they find both of their parents murdered. Before Thor has a chance to react, a smoke screen arises causing the two boys to 'KO'. With Thor's last efforts to see what is going on, he see's their home's federation army responsible for knocking them out.
When they come to, they are on a completely different planet. With dangerous plants and only the strong survive. They meet Zagi, a young teenager with something peculiar about him. He mentions to Thor that his twin brother, Rai, is weak and that he'd be better off without him. Thor of course refuses and leaves but starts to doubt himself for a moment when Rai complains about how thirsty he is when Thor is still ready to keep walking.
After being attacked by a plant, Thor wakes up and realizes his brother has died. Fill with regret and relief, Thor is torn but realizes he will always love his brother.
That was just the FIRST episode .
On the planet Chimaera, women make-up a mere 20% of the population so women are valued for the sake of re-population. The women get to chose who will become their husbands and no one has the permission to decline, supposedly...
One of the girls Thor met while being attacked by a plant, Tiz, takes an interest and proclaims he is to be her husband. Thor decline's and says his only wish is to survive and go back home. He later meets "Third" who is somewhat suspicious. Both Tiz and Third end up following Thor on his journeys.
From there on, we have the adventure, action, and dangers of Jyu-Oh-Sei: The Beast King.
From start to finish this series has the ability to keep you on your twos but enough to say goodbye once completed. Although some people may have felt the ending was rushed, I feel that it's enough to not leave you in the dark. Because my personal pet-peeve with any anime are cliff-hangers. Which I detest and am thankful that this anime has none.
"In the distant future, humanity has migrated into space to settle in the Balkan System, leaving behind them a dying Earth. With the loss of their native home, the race has suffered. Safety is an illusion… Their parents murdered and their easy life at an end, young twin brothers Thor and Rai find themselves jettisoned off-world and abandoned to their fate: Chimaera, a hostile planet where only the worst criminals are sent to die. With extreme temperatures and carnivorous plants, it is a world ruled by brutality, a place where mankind has been reduced to a savage state of survival. And the only hope of escape lies in conquering the planet and its peoples, to rise above them all as The Beast King. Boy must become man and man must become beast. Death is the only other option."
I hope you watch this anime and appreciate it's virtue. Have a pleasant day and keep watching ANIME!
