Kagura is a member of the Yato clan, a clan well known for its aversion to sunlight and it's strength and brutality in battle. She left home because she wanted to eat more than just rice every day and got into earth by clinging on to the side of a space rocket(illegally). She is incredibly strong because of her Yato heritage and after Gintoki helped her forced him into letting her work for him. Another of her traits is the huge amounts of food she eats! At one time completely clearing Gintoki's fridge. She also has very little respect for adults, even going far enough to make fun of her fathers decreasing lack of hair. Despite this she does seem to really look up to Gintoki even if she does call him a 'good for nothing'.
