Overview
Kain Fuery (ケイン・フュリー, Kein Fyurī) is one of Roy Mustang's most trusted subordinates. He is overly kind in nature, both to people and to animals. He was recruited by Mustang for his technological expertise. As such, he primarily helps Mustang with communications, both in creating secure lines and tapping into others. It was Fuery who first found Black Hayate. However, his dorm did not allow its residents to keep dogs, and he spent a humorous "side story" trying to find someone to keep it. He is transferred to Southern Headquarters when Mustang's group is broken up by the homunculi. In the manga, he eventually defects from the military so that he can help Mustang overthrow King Bradley.
