Kana

Kana is one of the most intriguing female solo artists to work in the Japanese music industry. Alongside performing music, she is also a toy designer, model, illustrator/graphic designer, dress designer and an actress.

It is Kana's voice, however, that makes her one of the most individual artists in the music industry. With a voice that you either love or hate, Kana can produce noises from a bird-like warbling to a high-pitched screech and sometimes even breathy chanting can be heard in her music. Ironically, this style that Kana has adopted is suited to her musical compositions, which are usually rock-based with layered effects of high pitched sounds mixed in.
