    2002 is amazing, but I think 2006 was a huge improvement when it came to animation and fleshing out the characters even moreso than toei did with 2002.

    quite a lot of differences from 2002 to 2006, lets just say the 2006 follows the VN quite well and added a lot of what was missing in the 2002 Kanon. 2002 is a rushed version.

    2006 had better pacing, character development, soundtrack, plot development, art and its a 24 ep anime thanks to KyoAni for that remake. it saved the Kanon series from its 2002 counterpart that wasn't a very good adaptation of the VN.
